[News] Unknown Mortal Orchestra Announces Fall Headlining Dates

As if Unknown Mortal Orchestra weren't touring enough already this fall, the band just announced even more dates for this October that they'll be headlining. This week the band is in LA for a pair of free shows, one tonight at Bardot and Wednesday they're doing an in-store performance at Origami Vinyl in Echo Park at 7pm.

What do you do when you have a huge tour coming up and you have lots of money to blow because your latest album debuted at #1 pretty much worldwide? You make a weird tour trailer where your whole band are truckers showering together at a truck stop!

For the price of your Facebook data, the Foos are offering up "Hot Buns" for your viewing pleasure. You'll find yourself laughing and scratching your head at the same time. I guarantee it.

Gotta say though, for the kind of day I've been having so far, Dave Grohl's hot buns were a nice pick me up.

[Listen] Rachel Yamagata - "Even If I Don't"

Earlier today, Rachel Yamagata teamed up with Mashable to reveal the album artwork for her upcoming album, Chesapeake, which she created entirely on her iPhone. To celebrate, Rachel has unveiled next single, "Even If I Don't". The song is a follow up to her first single, "Starlight" which will also be featured on the upcoming release due out on October 18th.

[News] Hanni El Khatib Unveils UK Tour Dates

After a successful perfromance at London's St Pancras Old Church on Monday, Hanni El Khatib has announced more dates in the UK in October, which is conveniently right after his debut album Will The Guns Come Out drops on October 3rd courtesy of Innovative Leisure.

[Watch] Spector - "What You Wanted" (Video)

Following up their debut single, "Never Fade Away" comes the video for London five-piece Spector's second single, "What You Wanted", which drops on September 19th via Luv Luv Records.

"What You Wanted" is bursting with glittering guitars, an infectous melody and oozes with nostalgia and unabashed honesty. There need to be more pop-esque songs like this on the planet.

[News] Manchester Orchestra Announces Fall Tour

Manchester Orchestra are gearing up for their upcoming headlining tour this fall in support of their third album, Simple Math, which was well received over in the SKoA camp. Speaking of thirds, the band is headlining PacSun's third PacTour, which kicks off in Houston, TX on October 21st and closes out on November 22nd in Orlando, FL. The tour will be supported by White Denim, The Dear Hunter and Little Hurricane on select dates, which you can confirm who's playing where in the intinerary below.

Tickets for the tour go on sale to the public next Thursday, September 1st with the pre sale beginning Wednesday, August 24th at 12PM local time exclusively via http://manchesterorchestra.ducatking.com.

[Listen] Jacuzzi Boys - Glazin' (Full Album Stream)

It's a little unfortunate that we won't get to experience Glazin' until the tail end of the summer, but I guess since Jacuzzi Boys are from Miami that they just wanted to make sure that we had some nice rays of sunshine going into the fall to hold us over until next summer.

[Listen] Family Of The Year - "St. Croix"

LA-based indie-folkers Family of the Year recently unveiled their first single, "St. Croix" from their upcoming EP of the same name which is due to drop on September 27th. The song has already been making the rounds in its hometown, topping the "Locals Only" playlist on KROQ and we can see/hear why with it's vibrant 80s-esque riffs and carefree lyrics. This song will definitely be getting added into my weekly rotation. It's definitely a good way to kick off the week, that's for sure! 

Following the St Croix EP a proper full length is expected early next year.

The band has confirmed dates in September and October on the west coast sharing the stage with the likes of Viva Brother and Grouplove. You can check out the dates after the jump for more info.
