[News] Thom Yorke: Radiohead Touring in 2012 x Atoms For Peace Album Finished

During an interview last night on Gilles Peterson’s show on BBC Radio 1, Thom Yorke made a lot of Radiohead fans very, very happy. Having played a surprise set at Glastonbury this year many fans were left wanting more and it seems like those fans may have had their wish granted by the man with all the dance moves. Thom revealed that Radiohead will be touring in 2012 after figuring out how to actually play KoL live stating:

"The idea is to go out and play next year on and off during the year."

Additionally, Thom spoke about his his side-project Atoms For Peace which is made up of Flea, Nigel Godirch, Joey Waronker, and Mauro Refosco, and says the band have recorded an album and it's on the way. It's just being finished up by Godrich at the moment.

So all in all a very good night for Radiohead and Thom Yorke fans alike. You can listen to the broadcast for the next 7 days on the BBC website. Hat tip to the Radiohead fan site Green Plastic.

[Watch] Tubelord - "My First Castle" (Video)

Okay, there is way too much going on in this video. I guess that's a pretty decent tactic to use if you need to get someone to watch your video enough times that you end up liking the song, but Tubelord did not really need to do for "My First Castle". There's all these picture in picture things going on, plus I kept trying to follow along with whatever was scrolling across the bottom. TOO MUCH!

Anyway, "My First Castle" is from Tubelord's upcoming sophomore album, R O M A N C E, which is out on October 10th courtesy of Pink Mist. The single will be available on October 3rd.

The band will be playing a good deal of shows starting tomorrow in the UK. Have a look at the dates after the jump:

[News] Mastodon & Dillinger Escape Plan Team Up For US Tour

Seriously, earlier in the year Deftones and Dillinger Escape Plan toured the states together and now Mastodon are taking Dillinger on the road with them too! US fans get prepared. Mastodon have just announced that they are to embark upon a rather large North American tour  in support of their upcoming album The Hunter, and are to take Dillinger and Red Fang along for opening support.. It'll sure get the crowd warmed up for the metal big hitters.

Dates can be peeped after the jump but in other awesome Mastodon related news, the band will play "Curl of the Burl" for the masses via Letterman on October 5th.

Maybe this will be the perfect time for Brent Hinds and Ben Weinman to get some songs together for their project that we talked about back in June. We can hope, right?!
