[News] Frank Ocean Announces Solo Tour Dates

While Frank Ocean spent the majority his onstage time this year alongside his fellow Odd Future crew, there has been no word on whether or not he would be putting on a solo show. But, that will change next month when Ocean will be putting on three solo performances. Dates have been announced for New Orleans, New York City, and Los Angeles, on November 5th, 6th and 15th, respectively. Tickets are available to buy now on Ticketmaster.

[Watch] Cameras - "Defeatist" (Video)
From their upcoming debut full length In Your Room comes the video for "Defeatist" from Australian indie outfit Cameras. Director Jens Hertzum managed to create a video that captures the essence of the bands sound, which somehow always maintains a steady balance of brightness and darkness in each song.
Their debut album In Your Room is slated for release on October 25th courtesy of Manimal Vinyl. Cameras will also be making their stateside debut in LA and during CMJ in NYC this month, so keep a lookout for more buzz about these guys.

[Watch] Katie Herzig - "Free My Mind" (Video)
In support of her latest release, The Walking Sleep, Katie Herzig has released this clever little video for her single, "Free My Mind". It makes me think of something you would see in an Amazon Kindle commercial, right? I'm not sure if I'd be brave enough to wear that dress, but it's a fun video either way.

A rite of passage from one stage of life to the next. There is the spirit that leads and ultimately suffers. There are the otherworldly murky creatures serving as jungian stage hands, witnesses as dark shadows lingering on the edge of the mind. And there is the tension between what we know we must leave behind in order to be what we know we must become."

[News] The Field Announces Tour

Swedish techno artist Axel Willner, aka The Field, recently released his third studio album Looping State of Mind, and to support the album he will be going on tour throughout North America. Starting on October 20th in Chicago, The Field will hit up thirteen different cities across the continent, finishing off in Vancouver on November 5th. From there, the artist will head over to England for ATP Nightmare Before Christmas.

[News] The Radio Dept. Cancel Upcoming North American Tour

Sad day for fans of The Radio Dept. in the US. The band has decided to cancel their fall North American tour. In a statement to the press, the band said, “The Radio Dept. regretfully inform that they are forced to cancel the upcoming North American tour due to family related matters. Hope to see you in 2012.”
The band will remain in Sweden this fall and winter where they’ll be working on new music and we hope to have more to announce in 2012.
