[Listen] Lazerbeak - "Smash Hit"

On January 24th, Doomtree producer Lazerbeak will be releasing his album LAVA BANGERS, an instrumental epic compiled of 150 beats that have been refined and tweaked into 20 tracks. In an exclusive premiere at Absolute Punk, Lazerbeak has let loose the first taste of the upcoming album in the form of the track "Smash Hit," which you can listen to below. The album is currently available for preorder here, and make sure to head to the Doomtree website every Tuesday for the weekly Tuesdays With Lazerbeak feature.
As well, Lazerbeak will be going on tour with the rest of the Doomtree collective starting on January 19th in Lawrence, Kansas. The tour includes over 40 shows all throughout North America, so take a look at the tour schedule after the jump to see if they will be performing in a city near you.

[News] YACHT Announce 2012 Tour Dates

In support of their latest studio album Shangri-La, which was released last June, Portland electro-pop duo YACHT will be touring throughout North America starting next month. The tour begins in Bellingham, WA on February 7th, with the duo performing in Seattle and Portland before heading east. The band will perform shows throughout the Midwest, in Canada, and the East Coast of the U.S., with a final show in Salt Lake City, UT on March 6th. You can check out all of YACHT's tour dates after the jump.

[News] Red Hot Chili Peppers Reschedule 2012 Tour Dates

In a rather upsetting turn of events, Red Hot Chili Peppers have been forced to postpone their massive 2012 tour schedule due to frontman Anthony Kiedis sustaining multiple foot injuries. As to how Kiedis sustained these injuries is unclear, but the band has been forced to push their January, February and March tour dates. The first leg of the tour, which was supposed to take place from January 20th to February 3rd, will now take place from March 29th to April 12th. The Californian leg of the tour, including two shows in Los Angeles and two in Oakland, will now take place in between European tour dates, from August 11th to the 15th, and the final leg of the tour will now take place from September 23rd to October 25th.

Starting in Los Angeles on the day of the album's release, the band will be touring all across North America for a total of 24 cities in exactly one month. This includes major stops such as New York, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Vancouver, Seattle, and San Diego. Today, the pair announced a North American tour in support of the upcoming studio effort, which kicks off the day the album is released in Chicago. From there, the duo will be on the road for three weeks, where they will perform in Denver, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego, among others.
