[Watch] Charli XCX - "Nuclear Seasons" (Live at Dalston Heights)
After seeing Charli XCX last month supporting Sleigh Bells I was pretty impressed. An energetic set and a pretty stellar voice compared to what I'd heard on record. Today she shows everyone what they may have missed with a live recording from Dalston Heights of her track "Nuclear Seasons" which she posted up on Twitter yesterday. If you've been putting off giving Charli a listen give it a try today and you might be impressed.
[News] Sigur Rós to Release New Album 'Valtari' in May
UPDATE: The band has unveiled the official artwork for the album, which you can see above. As well, you can listen to the song "Ekki Múkk" from the album after the jump, and the album has been given an official U.S. release date of May 29th via EMI/XL.
Staying true to the promise they made late last year, Sigur Rós have announced that their sixth studio album is set to release in May and is titled Valtari. According to images of this month's Q Magazine, which were released on the band's official forum, the album will drop on May 28th. The album, which is being produced by lead singer Jónsi and frequent collaborator Alex Somers, will feature at least seven tracks, with the possibility of more.
When speaking with The Wall Street Journal last Fall, the album was described by the band as "introverted," "ambient," and "floaty and minimal." As well, during the interview with Q Magazine, bassist Georg Holm described it as "beautiful," going further to describe the name of the album and its meaning, saying that Valtari literally translates to "steamroller" in English. He explains that "the music kind of just rolls over you. In a good way."
To support the forthcoming release, Sigur Rós has announced a number of tour dates, including Osheaga Festival in Montreal. After the jump, you can take a look at the "partial" tracklisting for Valtari as well as the band's full tour schedule.

[Interview] Teen Daze Talks Fans, the Blogosphere, Touring and Gives Advice for Up and Coming Artists (Part Two)
Vancouver native Jamison came from humble beginnings in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, a beginning which eventually led to studying abroad and a broadening view of the world. Through the absorption of books and knowledge, Jamison came to better understand the world around him, and music became the outlet for this influx of experience and insight. These lifelong influences and a passion for music that came to fruition early on in his life led to the creation of the Teen Daze project, a project that has since flourished. With numerous EPs under his belt, Teen Daze has dabbled in various aspects of the electronic realm, but with his forthcoming debut LP, the solo artist has refined his sound into a cohesive and ultimately more powerful and evocative way. All Of Us, Together is his most ambitious project yet, and it is clear that the album will come to define his rising career.
Teen Daze is gearing up to release All Of Us, Together on May 22nd via San Francisco record label Lefse, and, with a European tour set to start next week, the musician took the time to chat with me over the phone for a fantastic hour long conversation. During the second half of the interview, Teen Daze and I discussed how important fans, the blogosphere and how beneficial it is for bloggers and artists to work together, as well as giving advice to up and coming artists out there. You can listen to the 25-minute second half of my interview with Teen Daze below, and head here to listen to the first half in its entirety.
[Watch] Oberhofer - "Away FRM U" Live On Letterman
Another worthy Late Night TV appearance last night came from Oberhofer who hit up David Letterman to perform their track "Away FRM U". It's their network television debut and even Letterman seems a little more than happy to be announcing the band on stage. The performance was solid and shows real promise for the coming year, so let's hope we get some more appearances from them, eh? Big ol' hat tip to The Audio Perv for the video hook up.
