[Watch] Muse - "Madness" Live on Skavlan

Last night Muse made an appearance on Norwegian/Swedish TV show, Skavlan, and they brought with them a performance of their single "Madness" (once Matt remembered the lyrics). It's a pretty understated performance from the band with it being such a mellow song, a little different from the performance of "Survival" at the Olympic Closing Ceremony. It does build into a nice finish though and we also get a closer look at Chris' double necked Kaoss pad infused bass guitar that debuted in the official video last week.

"Madness" is taken from Muse's upcoming album, The 2nd Law, which is set for release on October 1st.

Muse will also be performing on the return show of Later... with Jools Holland on Tuesday the 25th of September along with The xx and The Beach Boys.

[Download] Benjamin Francis Leftwich Covers M83 and Frightened Rabbit

We've seen Benjamin Francis Leftwich deliver stellar sounding covers for the past 12 months. He's been touring relentlessly since the release of his brilliant debut, Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm, last July. He's not ready to slow down yet either as he's just announced a huge amount of UK dates and North American dates and what better way to celebrate than to share a few covers with fans? Below you can check out not one, but two truly great covers.

First up he takes on the still fresh sounding M83 track "Midnight City" before tackling one of his favourite bands' tracks, Frightened Rabbits' "Swim Until You Can’t See Land". Both deserve a moment of your time as Ben puts his own signature sounds into the tracks making them feel slightly different while keeping the foundations in tact. You can download them over here. Tour dates can be seen after the jump for those of you wanting to check him out on the road this Autumn.

[Watch] The Hives - "Wait A Minute" Live on Conan

A highlight of my summer festival going was watching The Hives. They completely won over the large crowd at Leeds Festival with a high energy set and a get up only they could truly pull off on stage. Last night they delivered again with a visit to Conan's late night slot and they performed "Wait A Minute" from their awesome sounding album, Lex Hives. Check out the replay at the top courtesy of The Audio Perv.

[Watch] Florence & The Machine Visits Jimmy Fallon

Last night Florence & The Machine visited Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to put in a performance of her track "Spectrum" from last year's album, Ceremonials. As well as that though viewers were treated to a little collaboration between Flo and Jimmy himself singing a track that Jimmy previously performed with Eddie Vedder. Check out the entertaining rendition of "Ball In Your Mouth" after the jump and the orchestra backed "Spectrum" at the top.

[Listen] Animal Collective Perform Acoustic Versions of "Pulleys" and "Wide Eyed" on KEXP

After debuting a new track "Crimson" on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic late last week, Animal Collective are once again taking to the radio to debut some new material. While this isn't new material per se, it is still worth the listen. During the 18-minute radio appearance, AnCo offered up stripped down acoustic versions of both "Pulleys" and "Wide Eyed" as well as an electric guitar version of "Honeycomb". Check out the full 18-minute session below.

In other AnCo radio news, a few members of the Baltimore pyschedelic outfit recently sat down with Red Bull Music Academy Radio to chat about Centipede Hz and much, much more. Following an interview with Geologist breaking down his Animcal Collective Radio mix, as well as a chat with all four band members curated by The Creators Project, this latest interview sees Panda Bear and Deakin talking about the importance of experimentalism, improvisation, and visualization for a whole hour. Definitely worth checking out, so give it a listen below.

[Watch] Jay-Z Joins Pearl Jam On Stage to Perform "99 Problems"

Jay-Z's Made In America delivered some amazing surprises on its first night, bringing Jay Electronica, Kanye West, and the G.O.O.D. Music crew to the stage, but it was the second night that delivered the best surprise. What could be better than surprise performances by Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music? How about Jay-Z, the festival curator himself, appearing on stage alongside Pearl Jam to perform "99 Problems"? Check out Hov's surprise performance above.

[Watch] Surprise Performances from G.O.O.D. Music and Jay Electronica at Made In America Festival

In the world of hip-hop, few people have as much influence and sway as Jay-Z, and his Made In America festival is a true testament of that. The Philadelphia festival has a lot of expectation from across the board, and now that day one is over, all we can say is damn did Jay-Z deliver. Earlier in the day, the Roc Nation head honcho brought out Jay Electronica to perform a surprise set, and below you can watch him perform both "Exhibit A" and "Exhibit C". If that wasn't enough, Jay closed the night out with a special thanks to the city of Philly, brining out Kanye West and the G.O.O.D. Music crew to perform. When Jay-Z comes calling, you best answer. Check out the full set above.
