Kendrick Lamar is currently gaining praise from every corner of the world since releasing his highly anticipated major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city yesterday. [News] Toro Y Moi Announces 2013 Tour Dates

2013 looks to be a big year for Chaz Bundick, aka Toro Y Moi, as he is set to return with his third studio album Anything In Return on January 22nd. Supporting the album, Bundick will embark on a massive headlining tour across North America, with proceedings kicking off on January 30th in Phoenix, AZ. The winter tour will last over a month, with an impressive total of twenty-four performances across the continent. Check out his full tour schedule after the jum.

Below you can stream "So Many Details", the lead single from Anything In Return. The single will be released on 7" vinyl on November 23rd, backed by Bundick's own remix of the track featuring Hodgy Beats.

[Listen] Local Natives - "Breakers"

2013 will be kicked off in style with a brand new album from LA's finest... Local Natives. It was way back at the end of 2009 that they dropped the album Gorilla Manor in the UK (2010 in the US) and I for one have missed them dearly. They've just announced that they are set to release Hummingbird, via Frenchkiss/Infectious on January 29th 2013. Mark your calendars once you get them from Santa in a few months time!

Chatting with Pitchfork not too long ago they talk about the differences in making the two albums. 

We've had the craziest highest highs of our lives in the last two years, and we've also had the lowest lows at the same time. It's a heavier record for us. You'd see the titles and be like, "Heavy metal." We got a lot deeper on this album. Gorilla Manor is a little lighter on the surface.

As well as the announcement comes a brand new track to sample. Titled "Breakers" it starts with frantic drums, bright guitars and claps before breaking into an Arcade Fire crescendo and back down again for the vocal with just a palm muted guitar and theremin/whale like sound. It does seem a little darker and less hopeful than some of the sounds on Gorilla Manor but it is just as delectable to the ears. It's set for release on October 23rd digitally and the band will embark upon a tour in November and into next year. Dates after the jump via Pitchfork.

[Watch] Ellie Goulding - "Anything Could Happen" Live on Conan

She's back at it again! Following a performance on Fallon last week, last night Ellie Goulding performed another rendition of "Anything Could Happen" on the late night circuit with a visit to Conan. The performance as with pretty much every live performance I've seen of her in the past few years, she seems to be a lot more confident on stage now mind. I remember seeing her in Manchester 3+ years ago and she was a shy, acoustic guitar wielding youngster. Fast forward to now and she's rocking the stage on Conan with ease.

[News] Jessie Ware Announces 2013 Tour Dates

2013 looks to be a promising year for English songstress Jessie Ware, who, less than two months after releasing her excellent debut album Devotion, has announced a new EP, a new label deal, and a U.S. tour. Ware has signed with Cherrytree Records, representing her in North America, who will release a digital and physical EP titled 110% in December.

Jessie Ware's U.S. tour kicks off on January 14th in Cambridge, MA, taking her around the country for six shows in ten days. From there, she will head back to the UK for a slew of tour dates. Check out her full schedule after the jump.

[News] Tanlines Announce U.S. Tour Dates

Unofficially dubbed the most danceable act of 2012 by, well, myself, New York duo Tanlines will embark on their second headling tour of the year in support of their debut album Mixed Emotions. Proceedings kick off at Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest, and will keep the pair busy for a full month of North American goodness. Fans best prepare themselves for a fun show. Willy Moon has gone from strength to strength this year. He's recently been announced as the support for Jack White in the UK this coming month. Last night he also performed on Later... with Jools Holland which is sure to bring him into the consciousness of the masses watching at home.
