[News] Muse Announce European Stadium Shows

Late last week Muse announced a handful of European Stadium shows set for 2013 and today they've added to that with some UK dates. Starting in May at Coventry's Ricoh Arena, it will make stops in London and Manchester before going on to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris and Turin. I've had a feeling that they were building up to a return to Wembley Stadium but maybe I was wrong. If you're yet to witness Muse in a live setting then this might be a good chance to get a feel for it. I was anti-Muse until i saw them live and was converted instantly.

Tickets go on sales later this week and will surely sell out shortly after. Dates for Germany, Norway, Finland and Denmark are to follow. They've offered up some footage from their 2010 tour above to whet the appetites. Make the jump for the dates and links to purchase.

[Watch] Dirty Projectors Drop by Letterman to Perform "About to Die"

Returning to the Ed Sullivan Theatre, the Dirty Projectors performed the title track from their newly released EP About to Die. David Longstreth's expansive vocal range was in full use during the performance, as the band beautifully rendered the song in the live setting. David Letterman was as impressed as we are. [News] Bloc Party Announces 2013 Tour

Bloc Party are continuing the support for their fourth LP Four with yet another North American tour, with proceedings kicking off on January 11th in Montclair, NJ. Following a short West coast stint in December and a few shows in Mexico, the tour will see the band performing in eight cities over eleven days. [Watch] Purity Ring - "Lofticries" (Official Video)

Purity Ring's debut album Shrines evoked a sense of surreal uneasiness amidst ethereal electronic instrumentation, a unique sound that has made it one of favorite albums this year. With the help of director AG Rojas, the Edmonton duo look to expand the unique aspects of their sound to the visual medium, resulting in the sublime video for "Lofticries". Described by Rojas as "[exploring] the stoicism of psychically connected characters confronted by surreal, climactic moments", the video quickly cuts between the lives of four people, as we bear witness to their detachment from the real world. Watch the clip above.

Shrines is out now via 4AD, and the band is currently on tour in Europe, with a North American tour set to start on January 10th. Check out their full tour schedule after the jump.

The wonderful Egyptian Hip Hop have announced that they'll be playing some dates in the UK come 2013. Set for March they'll start off in Glasgow before finishing up with a homecoming show at Manchester's Gorilla. Check out the dates below to see if they're stopping in a city near you.

[Watch] David Byrne & St. Vincent on The Colbert Report

Last night the wonderful David Byrne and St. Vincent were guests on The Colbert Report and not only perform a track but sit down and have a chat with Stephen. The duo performed a lively rendition of "Who" and sat down to have a typically jovial conversation about a number of topics including the recent events and Sandy. There's also talk of a three way shower session and a webcam being involved? I'm pretty sure boys around the world would rejoice at Annie in th.... enough of that. [Watch] Vampire Weekend - "Unbelievers" Live on Kimmel

Well isn't this a delightful treat midway through the week? We've not really heard much of anything from Vampire Weekend in a good while but that changed last night. Being Halloween, the band donned ghoulish make-up on a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on which they debuted a brand new track for us all *cue raucous applause*. [Watch] The xx - "Chained" Live on Fallon

Late last week in the madness of the early weekend, The xx paid a visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform the hair raising single "Chained". The trio were dressed all in black, naturally, and managed to make it feel like they were performing in your very own lounge. Wonderful.

Their album Coexist is out now and you can peep the performance at the top courtesy of The Audio Perv. The band will also be out on the road in the UK come December, dates of which you can see below.
