[News] Bonnaroo 2013 Lineup Announced

Bonnaroo unveiled its 2013 lineup yesterday, dishing out a bill topped with Paul McCartney, Mumford & Sons, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, R. Kelly, The National, Kendrick Lamar, The xx, Passion Pit, Grizzly Bear, Animal Collective, Wu-Tang Clan, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Wilco, and Björk.

Rounding out the lineup are Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Cat Power, Local Natives, Tame Impala, Alt-J, Dirty Projectors, Swans, Baroness, Japandroids, Death Grips, Earl Sweatshirt, Killer Mike, Father John Misty, Purity Ring, The Tallest Man on Earth, Divine Fits, ASAP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T., Action Bronson, Four Tet, Wild Nothing, DIIV, HAIM, Cults, Charli XCX, Billy Idol, ZZ Top, Gov’t Mule, John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension, Dwight Yoakam, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men, Portgual. The Man, The Gaslight Anthem, Matt and Kim Pretty Lights, Boys Noize, AraabMUZIK, A-Trak, The Vaccines, Glen Hansard, Calexico, Porter Robinson, Amadou & Mariam, Lee Fields & The Expressions, John Fullbright, JEFF the Brotherhood, Deap Vally, Walk the Moon, and The Stepkids.

Tickets for Bonnaroo go on sale Saturday February 23rd at Noon EST on the festival website. Bonnaroo runs from June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee.

[News] Dot to Dot Festival announces first acts of 2013

Last year's Dot to Dot Festival was a raging success with the likes of Willy Moon, Pulled Apart by Horses and Waves bringing their noise to Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham. It's now a year on and the first round of acts for the 2013 event have just been announced and you're in for a treat if you're headed down this year. Dry The River, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Chapel Club, The 1975, Lucy Rose and a load more have been announced for the festival.

It takes place on the weekend of May 24th, 25th, and 26th in Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham respectively. I had an absolute blast at last year's Manchester date and hope to do the same again this year. Check out some of my thoughts here and check out the full lineup above in the poster. Tickets are only £20 so don't hang about, go and grab one ASAP.

[News] Parklife Weekender announces initial line-up

After weeks of torment and announcing just one act a day via numerous sources, Parklife Weekender has been given a full initial line-up announcement and it's shaping up to be a fun start to summer in Manchester. Presented by the same awesome people that bring us the Warehouse Project, the festival takes part over the weekend of June 8th-9th. Previously announced acts included Julio Bashmore, Everything Everything, The Maccabees, Four Tet and Hudson Mohawke. 

Names added today include Example, Plan B, Rita Ora, Mark Ronson, A Trak, The Horrors, Jessie Ware, Jamie Jones, Disclosure, Rudimental, TEED, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Savages, King Krule, Toro Y Moi and a crap load of others, with loads more still to be announced it's looking like it will live up to the previous years'. For the full line-up so far head over to the official website to grab some tickets. You know you want to. We're still awaiting word on the new venue/location for the event but we're told it'll all be revealed a week today (February 21st).

[News] Final headliners for End of the Road Festival announced

Well isn't this a delightful turn up for the books. End of the Road Festival have just announced their final headliners and it's a bit of a good'un. Gracing the stage with the likes of the already announced Sigur Ros and Belle and Sebastian at the Dorset festival, which takes place from the 30th of August until the 1st of September, will be the spell-binding St. Vincent and David Byrne. [News] Sasquatch! 2013 Lineup Announced

After a successful ten-year anniversary last year, Sasquatch! Music Festival is back to celebrate its eleventh year at the Gorge Amphitheatre. Late last night the lineup for the festival was revealed, and you'll be hard-pressed to deny how awesome it is. Topping off the festival bill are Mumford & Sons, The xx, Sigur Rós, Vampire Weekend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Postal Service, with numerous fantastic acts rounding out the lineup: Arctic Monkeys, Primus, Empire of the Sun, Grimes, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Lumineers, Alt-J, The Tallest Man on Earth, Tame Impala, Earl Sweatshirt, Japandroids, Death Grips, Dirty Projectors, Bloc Party and Danny Brown.

[News] Coachella 2013 Sells Out in 21 Hours

Just 21 hours after Coachella tickets became available to purchase, the Indio, CA festival has sold out. Announcing its official lineup just last week, passes for the festival went on sale yesterday at 1:00pm ET. This morning, at 9:40am ET, the Coachella Twitter account confirmed that the festival had sold out.

Coachella organizers have not disclosed how many passes were made available for sale, but nonetheless, it's an impressive feat. Although not as impressive as last year, which sold out in three hours. For those who were unable to get a pass and are still aching to go, Craigslist may be your best friend.

Coachella Festival takes place on two weekends, April 12th-14th and 19th-21st, in Indo, California.

We've just got a little excited for the Live at Leeds announcement and now Beacons Festival has added to the good vibes. The festival is set festival takes place in August on the 16th to 18th August, 2013 at the Funkirk Estate, Skipton. It's up in t'Yorkshire Dales. Hills and countryside as far as the eys can see. For details on the bands announced so far make the jump and head over to the official website for details regarding tickets and pricing. Grab them early and you'll save some pennies too, just so you know.

Festival line-ups are beginning to come in thick and fast right now. Today is no different as the initial bands set to play Live at Leeds over the May Bank Holiday have been announced. Some big names to get fans of the Yorkshire festival excited include Alunageorge, Darwin Deez, Tribes, The Pigeon Detectives, Rudimental and Everything Everything just to name a few. Some SKOA faves including The 1975 and Little Comets are also set to play over the weekend. We can expect over a hundred bands to play over twelve stages in venues across Leeds City Centre and tickets are available now. More announcements will follow but for now make the jump to see the full list of bands playing so far. We'll let you know of updates in the coming months.
