[Listen] Tribes - "How The Other Half Live"
In the middle of last month Tribes came storming back all guns blazing with a brand new track titled "Wrapped Up In A Carpet" just 11 months after their debut album Baby was released. With that also came news of a new album titled Wish To Scream which is set to be released on May 20th. Today we get another sample of what's to follow from the band in 2013, "How The Other Half Live". Written by Dan White it touches on his run-ins with police, bouncers, ticket inspectors and other institutionalised bullies and the result is a blues infused chug of a track. Power to the people!
Remaining UK Tour Dates (Sold Out)

06/02 - Electrowerkz, London
[Listen] Wet Nuns - "Broken Teeth"
I've always had a bit of a thing for noisy two-piece bands. Call me what you will but they do it for me. Always have. I remember the day I stumbled upon an uncle's copy of The Black Keys' Thickfreakness, and I've never looked back. Last year I was rather happy to stumble upon a new deafening force that go by the name of Wet Nuns. They're now preparing to release a new EP titled Broken Teeth on February 18th and if this lead track is anything to go by it'll put hairs on your prepubescent chest.
Check out the new bell shaking EP title track below and check out some tour dates after the jump.
If that's not enough the boys have set up their own festival called Detestival which will take place on March 30th - 31st with bands like Bo Ningen, Wolf People, Hookworms, Kult Country, John J Presley, Blood Presley, TOY and more gracing the stage. Details of that can be found over here.

[Watch] Marika Hackman - "Cannibal" (Official Video)
Some music videos have a way of grabbing your attention from the off and Marika Hackman's official clip for the track "Cannibal" does just that. The song sets the tone wonderfully as we are engrossed by clips of several men stuffing their faces with all kinds of food and treats. It's all a bit sinister looking and it's hard to look away from but at the same time you're kind of repulsed by what you're seeing. Make sure to stick around until the end.
If you like what you hear, Marika is set to release her album The Iron Taste on February 25th. You can pre-order it over here.
[Watch] Fall Out Boy - "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)"
So, yeah, Fall Out Boy are back. After a lot of hype these past few weeks regarding what the hell was happening with them it's official. Their three year haitus is over. Back when I was a bit younger, with the old long fringe and tight tees I used to love these guys. I'm not sure where I stand with my feelings and them as a band now, but I know that if I have enough beers in me I'm gonna sing my guts out to some Take This To Your Grave tracks in the club.
The new song is titled "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)" and it's a little different from what you might of expected. More info about the bands return can be found on their website here. Regarding the 'reunion' they say:
when we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn't a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.
the future of fall out boy starts now.
A new album is coming too. Titled Save Rock And Roll. Read into that what you will. Mark your calendars kids, FOB are back and new music arrives May 6th & 7th worldwide. Super eager? Pre-order it here. How do you feel about this? Let us know below.
[Listen] Caveman - "In The City"

Brooklyn indie outfit Caveman will follow up their 2011 debut Coco Beware this April with a self-titled sophomore album. "In The City" is our first tasting of the upcoming effort, and it tastes delicious. With dreamy synth lines and ghostly, resounding vocals, it's hard to imagine oneself in the claustrophobic cacophany of the city when listening to the song. Rather, it resonates the feelings and sensations of experiencing nature. Name aside, the song is perfect. Stream it below.
Caveman is out on April 2nd through Fat Possum.
[News] Iron & Wine Announce New Album, Stream First Single

Iron & Wine, the moniker of Samuel Beam, has announced his fifth studio album Ghost on Ghost, his debut release with his new label Nonesuch Records. Due out on April 16th, the follow-up to 2011's Kiss Each Other Clean was produced by Brian Deck and will span 12 tracks. According to Beam, it is a departure from his previous albums, saying, "[t]his record felt like a reward to myself after the way I went about making the last few."
The album also sees Beam employing the help of a slew of talented folks, such as Rob Burger, Steve Bernstein, Brian Blade, Curtis Fowlkes, Tony Garnier, Marika Hughes, Briggan Kraus, Maxim Moston, Tony Scherr, Doug Wieselman, Kenny Wolleson, Anja Wood, and more.
For an initial sense of what Ghost on Ghost will sound like, Beam is streaming the first single titled "Lover's Revolution", a brass-heavy, jazz-infused number that sounds more carefree and improvisational than past efforts. Stream it below, where you can also find the tracklisting for the upcoming LP.

[Listen] Dinosaur Pile-Up - "Arizona Waiting"
And just like that Thursday gets a little better... Just over a week ago we got to enjoy the return of Dinosaur Pile-Up in the form of the track "Lip Hook Kiss". A rollicking romp of fuzzy goodness that set my tinnitus into overdrive. Just the way I like it. Last night on Radio One Zane Lowe premiered the second track we get to enjoy from their new album, Nature Nurture. It's titled "Arizona Waiting" and you can enjoy it in all of it's rifftastic glory below.
Frontman Matt Bigland locked himself away to write the new material and I for one cannot wait to have my head knocked off when the full package is released on the 13th of May. You can grab a copy of the single over here though.

The Strokes announce that their fifth studio album will be titled Comedown Machine, with a release date set for March 26th. Pre-orders for the album started today, so head here to ensure yourself a copy.
Our first taste of the album came in the form of "One Way Trigger", a falsetto-heavy track with a synth line reminiscent of A-Ha's "Take On Me". Another song, titled "All The Time", will be released on February 19th and will serve as the lead single for Comedown Machine. Stream "One Way Trigger" below, and farther down you can check out the band's b-movie-inspired lyric poster for the song.
