[Listen] The Dillinger Escape Plan - "Prancer"
The Dillinger Escape Plan are preparing to release the beast known as the follow up to 2010's Option Paralysis in the shape of a new record titled One Of Us Is The Killer in May. Late yesterday the band premiered a brand new track from the LP titled "Prancer" and it's every bit of DEP we've come to expect. Organised chaos that will full on wake you the eff up on a slow Tuesday morning. Seriously, turn this up loud and shake off the cobwebs a little while losing yourself a little bit. This was the last thing I heard before falling to sleep last night, and it's the first thing I've hit play on today. See if you find it as moreish as me.
One Of Us Is The Killer is set to be released through the band's own Party Smasher Inc., in partnership with Sumerian Records on May 14th.
[Listen] Major Lazer and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend Team Up for "Jessica"

It was reported last year that Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig was going to feature on Major Lazer's Free the Universe, and now you can hear the results of that collaboration. Koenig was quick to post a radio rip of the new track, titled "Jessica", after it debuted on Annie Mac's BBC Radio show this weekend. The cut features some sultry vocals from the VW frontman, and mellow, tropical jams to match his longing croons. Stream the track below.
Free the Universe is (hopefully) out on April 19th, while Vampire Weekend's third album Modern Vampires of the City is set to drop on May 7th.
[Watch] Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and Trent Reznor live in the studio playing "Mantra"
As I'm sure you're aware by now, Dave Grohl's soundtrack to his movie about Los Angeles recording studio Sound City, is soon to be released. Next week in fact on March 12th via Dave's very own label, Roswell Records. On Sound City: Real to Reel there is many a collaboration to get you hot under the collar. Check out the full tracklisting on iTunes here. For me though anything with Dave on drums and Josh Homme on guitar of some sort is going to make me lose it a little bit. Add into that mix the ridiculously talented Trent Reznor and you've got a recipe for a panic attack. Seriously.
Ahead of the release of the soundtrack next week, RollingStone has released some in studio footage of the trio recording the track titled "Mantra". It's sure to relax you on a stressful Friday afternoon as well as induce a fever of awesome. Check it out above.
[Listen] She & Him - "Never Wanted Your Love"
It seems like it's been a while since we've had anything new from M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel of She & Him but that's all about to change as they're preparing to release third studio album, Volume 3, on the 7th of May via Merge. It's a catchy little number that makes me want to throw my hands in the air and swing them side to side then when you dig a little bit deeper and the lyrics soak in, well, let's home you're not all depressed after listening. I can't help but swoon when I hear Zooey's gentle vocals over the speakers though however somber the subject matter. See if she has the same effect on you by hitting play below.
[Listen] Stream Two New James Blake Cuts, "Voyeur (Dub)" and "Digital Lion"

The past twenty-four hours have seen not one but two new James Blake tracks surface, and if that's not enough to get you excited than I don't know that is. The first is "Voyeur (Dub)", which premiered on BBC Radio 1. While technically a "dub version" of the Overgrown song "Voyeur", it's enough to get a sense of what the album version will sound like. The second comes in the form of "Digital Lion", the song that features contributions from none other than Brian Eno. Trust me when I say that both of these tracks are superb.
Overgrown, Blake's sophomore album, is set to release on April 8th.
[Watch] Willy Moon - "My Girl" (Official Video)
Next month Willy Moon will unleash his highly infectious debut album, Here's Willy Moon, into the world and I have no doubt that it'll send people into a frenzy. It's on of those records that you just cant help but dance to. I can see why Mr. Moon has got such fancy dance moves now after listening to it all week. Ahead of the full release, his new single "My Girl" has been given the official video treatment, cutting together shots of the impeccably dressed man himself along side a pretty girl in the sunshine. As well as that it splices together clean cut filming with retro looking fuzz. It works pretty well with Willy's aesthetic. See for yourselves up above.
Here's Willy Moon is released on April 8th via Island Records.
[Watch] Biffy Clyro - "Biblical" (Official Video)
Since I got a hold of the new album, Opposites, from Biffy Clyro, I've honestly been blasting it almost daily. Heck, if you've been reading SKoA for a few years you'll of known I was hyped for this album back in the summer of 2011! And for a double LP, well, it's pretty damn killer. Today the band have released the video (via Stereogum) to their new single "Biblical", a track which took the lead in my favourites from the release from day one. Soaring choruses and downbeat verses. It was sure to be a single and now it is. The video shows Simon staying n a motel and getting the crap beaten out of him by some gang twice. However, both times this happens, Simon's attitude and story leading up to the point at which he gets knocked the eff out is rather different. Watch it for yourselves up at the top.
Yesterday, RollingStone premiered their album in full for US peeps who may not yet have heard it. Go listen to it if it's the only thing you do today. If you like what you hear, Opposites is out on the 12th of March via Warner.
[Listen] Surfer Blood - "Demon Dance"

I'll admit, I wasn't as hot on Surfer Blood's latest single "Weird Shapes" as I wanted to be. Their debut album Astro Coast was excellent, a brash surf-rock record that I enjoyed every minute of. "Weird Shapes" just didn't hit the benchmark for me. It wasn't as carefree or reckless as Astro Coast. Interesting then that the band described it as "one of the most dynamic songs we've ever written".
"Demon Dance", the band's second single from their upcoming sophomore LP Pythons, embraces the same poppy veneer as "Weird Shapes", but in this case it seems to work quite well. The pop sheen is met with a barrage of fuzzy guitars, distorted vocals, and a quickened pace. Surfer Blood have got my attention again.
Pythons is out on June 11th through Warner Bros. Records.
