[Listen] Check Out Empire of the Sun's New Single "Alive"

It's been a long awaited return for Empire of the Sun, but the eccentric Australian duo are back with a fresh outlook and a new album, Ice on the Dune. Before the album drops in June, though, we'll have to make do with their anthemic lead single "Alive." The song pulsates with lively synthesizers and echoing otherworldly vocals, enchanting with a harmonious chorus. The song is perfectly titled. Stream it below.
[Listen] Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. - "Hiding"

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. have been delivering some fantastic tracks lately, and their new cut "Hiding" is indie pop at its finest. "Hiding" embraces the unashamed attitude the duo have on "If You Didn’t See Me (Then You Weren’t on the Dancefloor)," with Daniel Zott and Josh Epstein delivering passionate harmonies amongst no-nonsense instrumentation. It's a fantastic cut and I'm excited to hear more from these guys.
The duo's new Patterns EP is due out on April 16th digitally and physically on Record Store Day.
[News] Wu-Tang Clan Announce New Album 'A Better Tomorrow'

Wu-Tang Clan promised a reunion album in 2013, and the hip hop collective have stayed true to their promise. Slipped into a press release about the group's 20th anniversary shows in the UK was this:
Wu-Tang Clan are currently working on their upcoming album A Better Tomorrow, due for release in July 2013."
Seems like something they would want to devote a whole press release to, right? Either way, it's great news for Wu-Tang fans, and the collective will be debuting new music during their July 25th and 26th shows at the 02 Apollo in Manchester and the 02 Academy in Brixton. Here's looking forward to A Better Tomorrow.

[Listen] Tribes - "Dancehall"
We've given Tribes a lot of love over the past year and a half, and in my eyes it's truly deserved. Their debut album, Baby, was a truly great release. Fast forward just 15 months and they're preparing to release the follow up to it. I've got to say it's pretty damn good too. It's different but a nice growth that should propel them up the ranks of festival bills. Today you can preview another new track from the band called "Dancehall". A track that s sure to have the lighters raised at gigs and arms swaying. Complete with guitar solo and a piano led intro it's a nice taste of what you can expect on Wish To Scream which is released on May 20th.
[Watch] Polly Scattergood - "Wanderlust" (Official Video)
Late last year we were introduced to Polly Scattergood via a track called "Disco Damaged Kid" and it was a nice little taste of what was to come from the talent on her second album. Today we get a video for the track "Wanderlust" which is to appear on the release which will drop on Mute in June. Get a touch of déjà vu and hit play on the video above. Lovely stuff.
[Album Stream] Iron & Wine - 'Ghost on Ghost'

Iron & Wine's newest album Ghost on Ghost is set for release in one week, but before that day comes Samuel Beam has a treat for everyone. The entirety of Beam's fifth studio album is now streaming over at NPR.org. The LP, the follow-up to 2011's Kiss Each Other Clean, is described by Beam as "a reward to myself after the way I went about making the last few". Check it out and let us know your thoughts.
Ghost on Ghost is out on April 16th via Nonesuch Records.
[Listen] The 1975 - "The City"
So those of you reading this may recognise the title of this post. The 1975 are letting loose a new version of their track "The City". It first appeared on their EP Facedown last year but the new version is sounding HUGE. Seriously. It'll also double up well for the lads as audiences will already be familiar with the track and it's as catchy as they come. Often you can't really tell too much of a difference with re-recorded versions of tracks, but I was honestly impressed by the new version of "The City". Cleaner vocals, more of an electric feel to the keys and they're definitely more prominent too, making for an all round bigger sound. See what you make of it below.
The 1975 are readying their full length album for release later this year. From what I hear, it's going to be a goodie. Ahead of that though they'll also release another EP, so watch this space for updates regarding that.
I caught up with Matt from the band back in February before their homecoming show in Manchester. See what we talked about over here.
[Watch] Daft Punk Launch Collaborator Video Series; First One Features Giorgio Moroder

It's no secret that Daft Punk have teamed up with a slew of legendary names (Daft Punk themselves are legendary) for their upcoming fourth album Random Access Memories. Included on that list are Chic frontman Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams, Animal Collective’s Panda Bear, Chilly Gonzales, and disco forerunner Giorgio Moroder. The French duo have now teamed up with The Creators Project for a new video series that focuses on these collaborators. First up is none other than Giorgio Moroder.
For eight minutes, the disco titan talks his love for "One More Time", the progression of dance music, discotecs, and Daft Punk's perfectionist nature in the studio. Check it out below.
Random Access Memories drops on May 21st.
