[News] Wild Nothing Announces New 'Empty Estate' EP

Wild Nothing's sophomore album Nocturne was a blissful dreamscape, seemingly overlooked as one of last year's great dream pop records. Jack Tatum quickly returns, bringing us a new EP titled Empty Estate. Recorded this past January, the EP sees Tatum "exploring new sounds, new instruments and a new voice for Wild Nothing."
"A Dancing Shell" is our first sense of what to expect from the seven-track EP, a bright track glistening with snythesizers. The bassline alone is fantastic, plucking along with confidence. Tatum's vocals are also much more expansive than before, drifting from monotone deepness to reverbed airiness. I like what I'm hearing. Check out the song below alongside it's colorful, geometric video.
Empty Estate Tracklist:
01. The Body In Rainfall
02. Ocean Repeating (Big-eyed Girl)
03. On Guyot
04. Ride
05. Data World
06. A Dancing Shell
07. Hachiko
[Album Stream] Deerhunter - 'Monomania'

Are you ready to listen to "a very avant-garde rock & roll record"? That's how Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox describes the band's new album Monomania, and they are offering up a stream two weeks before its release. Give the album a listen and let us know what you think. Check it out below or at NPR.org.
Monomania is out on May 7th.
[Listen] The JCQ - "Ghosts Diffuse"
Another new band for you guys to check out today in the form of The JCQ aka The James Cleaver Quintet. Their debut album, That Was Then, This Is Now, hit stores back in 2011 and since then they've gone through a few changes. Most notably, bassist Jimmy Diego has parted ways with the band. Now, on the flip side they've just announced their second album which is titled Mechanical Young along with a preview video of what we could expect from it. A few days later and they've let loose a free download of a track which you can grab below. Titled "Ghosts Diffuse" it's a beast of an introduction to the band that I thought fitting to give a little post to. See what you think of it below.
Mechanical Young is set for release on the 17th of June. You can pre-order it over on their official website.
[Watch] Dinosaur Pile-Up - "Derail" (Official Video)
We had good news from Dinosaur Pile-Up back in January with regards to a brand new album from the Leeds based rockers. They're set to release a follow up to the critically-acclaimed 2010 debut Growing Pains, with what is shaping up to be a damn decent difficult second release, Nature, Nurture later this year. Today though, we get to enjoy the official visual for "Derail" and it stars Diana Vickers. Yeah, people in the UK might be scratching their heads at the former X-Factor star being in the vid, but I imagine people elsewhere in the world will be completely stumped at the mere mention of that name. We'll just brush over it then shall we... It's a pretty entertaining video though and a to be expected catchy as hell tune from the guys. Hit play above and get your groove on.
[Listen] London Grammar - "Wasting My Young Years"
I didn't realise we'd never posted anything London Grammar related. So how about we get familiar now, yeah? I was introduced to the group back in February via their EP Metal & Dust. The three piece from London spent the majority of last year recording a debut album which will see the light of day fairly soon I imagine. They have just dropped a new single in the mean time though, titled "Wasting My Young Years" it's a strong vocal number with some lyrics I'm sure many of us can relate to in some way or another. The track, although pretty powerful vocally, is also pretty subtle in its electronics. One thing's for sure, it's sure to turn a few new heads towards their sound. We'll wait to see if a full length will deliver as much promise but for now, colour me impressed. I'm quite liking them. There's a pretty impressive live version of the track of on The Guardian's website too. I think they'll continue to gain more and more attention in the coming months, what do you think?
[Watch] Check Out Vampire Weekend's New Promo Video Featuring Steve Buscemi

This video made my day. Easily. Last month, Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio found out that he is a distant relative of Steve Buscemi, and the band hired him on to direct their upcoming April 28th concert at New York's Roseland Ballroom. This promo video sees Steve paying the boys a visit at the studio and the results are pretty hilarious. The awkward interactions between Steve and the band are priceless. Check it out below.
Vampire Weekend's third album Modern Vampires of the City is out on May 14th.
[News] Disclosure Announce Debut LP, 'Settle'

The lead single for the album is called "You & Me" and features vocals from Eliza Doolittle. The song drops on April 28th.
In the meantime, you can catch Disclosure on the road. They've got a slew of festival appearances planned as well as a few intimate concerts over the next few days. Check out their full schedule after the jump.
