[Listen] Zedd - "Spectrum" Feat. Matthew Koma
The young German Anton Zaslavski, better known as Zedd, has let loose a belter of a track on Soundcoud earlier this week. He manages to merge together numerous styles pathing the way for a new unique sound. The track, "Spectrum", can be streamed in full below and should get you pretty excited for the clock striking midnight. You know, unless you're Cinderella. Kick start your week with this bass heavy gem.
[Watch] DIIV - "How Long Have You Known?" (Official Video)
It is the weekend. Finally. Why not get in the party spirit with DIIV's new visual for "How Long Have You Known?". When I say get in the party spirit I'm not talking literally because from the concoction of ingredients frontman Zachary Cole Smith is not something you want to be running through your system come 5pm this afternoon. Or maybe it is? But no, seriously kids, don't try this at home. (Via Pitchfork)
Oshin, their debut album is set to drop on the 26th of June via Captured Tracks.
[Listen] The National - "The Rains of Castamere"
It's been a little quiet on the scene regarding The National in recent months. On the other hand it's been rather noisy on HBO's hit show Game of Thrones, I won't spoil anything for anyone but I bloody hate Joffrey! Tyrion on the other hand, genius. The band must be pretty fond of the show too as they've contributed a song the Game of Thrones’ season two soundtrack. Apparently the track was penned by the main man himself and the creator of GoT, George R.R. Martin himself! The lyrics do contain some spoilers though for the series so hit play at your own discretion. Is it Sunday yet? I need a new episode of this show!
[Watch] Serj Tankian - "Figure It Out" (Official Video)
Amidst the awesome tour announcement from SOAD and Deftones last month, Serj Tankian also announced a new album, Harakiri, which drops on the 10th of July via Serjical Strike/Reprise Records. Today, Rock it Out! Blog points towards a new video from the System man and it sees him and a group of unruly people, the 99% causing havoc to the stock exchange. It's a pretty angry video, and rightly so. Check it out at the top to get your rage on.
[Watch] White Rabbits - "The Day You Won The War" Live on Conan
White Rabbits returned to the late night circuit yesterday with a trip to Conan. The band performed "The Day You Won The War" from their album Milk Famous. Check it out at the top courtesy of The Audio Perv.
[Listen] Pusha T - "Exodus 23:1"
Another cut from the forthcoming G.O.O.D. music compilation has hit the net and this one is from Pusha T. The track is tagged but it's nice to have some new music from that camp. Titled "Exodus 23:1" the track features The-Dream and can be enjoyed via IFWT. With Kanye's new film premiering in Cannes at the moment I expect we'll be seeing a lot more of the G.O.O.D. Music crew in 2012.
[Watch] SoKo - "We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow" (NSFW Video)
A beautiful new video from SoKo has hit the net and it's a good'un. It tells the simple tale of two people hopelessly in love. It may be soppy but it's heart warming to see and will put a smile on your face. It's a little NSFW though so you have been warned that there will be nipples on show! It's for a track called "We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow" which features on her album I Thought I Was An Alien.
