[Listen] Metric - 'Synthetica' (Full Album Stream)
After three years, Synthetica, the long awaited fifth studio album from Metric, is nearing its June 12th release date, and now you can stream the album in full a week before it is set to hit stores. The band's own Jimmy Shaw produced the 11-track album at Grant Studios in Toronto and Electric Lady Studios in New York. Give it a listen below.
Synthetica is out on June 12th via Metric's own Metric Music International imprint.

It's been almost 21 months since Vampire Weekend has performed live on North American soil, and yesterday the band announced a pair of intimate shows set to break that absence. Prior to their performance at Pitchfork Music Festival, the band will be performing in both Cleveland and Indianapolis on July 12th and 13th, respectively. A press release states that the band is currently writing songs for their third LP, so the live performances will likely see them perform new tracks. Check out their tour schedule after the jump.

In support of their recently released LP Heaven, The Walkmen have announced a headlining tour scheduled for this fall. Following a festival circuit and tour dates alongside Florence & The Machine this summer, the band will hit the road in mid-September. Going until October 19th, the U.S. tour will also see the band performing alongside The War On Dugs in both Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia. Take a look a their full tour schedule after the jump.
Before any of this, though, the band will be performing at New York's Bowery Ballroom this Wednesday, June 6th, at 9pm EST. The entire concert will see a worldwide live stream courtesy of Spotify, which will be filmed by La Blogotheque. Stay tuned this Wednesday for more information.

Produced by Tony Hoffer, who has previously worked with bands such as Phoenix and Depeche Mode, the progress of the studio effort will be updated on the band's official website.
Leading up to the release of the as-of-yet-untitled album, the Los Angeles outfit will be going on tour throughout the summer and into September, touring alongside Ben Harper, Dave Matthews and Blues Traveler. The tour will also include several festival appearances, including Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco. Take a look at their full tour itinerary after the jump.

[Listen] Stream New Albums from POP ETC, Hot Chip, Bobby Womack, and The Tallest Man On Earth
Next week sees the release of some heavy-hitter releases, including new albums from POP ETC (the band formerly known as The Morning Benders), UK outfit Hot Chip, Swedish singer-songwriter The Tallest Man On Earth, and soul mastermind Bobby Womack.
After changing their name from The Morning Benders to POP ETC, the Brooklyn outfit has adopted a new musical direction. Leaning away from their original indie beginnings and more towards an electronic and pop-infused sound, POP ETC are utilizing the name change in more ways than one, and it's paying off. The entirety of their self-titled debut under the new moniker, which is set for release on June 12th, is available to stream now at MTV Hive.
Hot Chip's fourth studio album In Our Heads is set to drop on June 12th via Domino Records, and if you've yet to hear the alreayd released tracks "Flutes" and "Night and Day," no need to worry. Now, you can stream the entirety of the forthcoming 11-track effort on NPR.org.
The Tallest Man On Earth (aka Kristian Matsson), is gearing up for the release of his third LP There's No Leaving Now, yet another effort set to release on June 12th. His 10-track album is now available to stream on NPR.org, as is Bobby Womack's The Bravest Man in the Universe. Teaming up with Damon Albarn and XL Recordings boss Richard Russell, Womack has crafted a soulful, haunting soundscape that is definitely worth the listen. The Bravest Man in the Universe is out on June 12th via XL Recordings. Stream it here.
