[Watch] Sigur Rós - "Fjögur píanó" (Video)
The third installment of the Mystery Film Experiment series has been unveiled today for, "Fjögur píanó", which is the final track from Sigur Ros' recent release Valtari. The video was directed by Alma Har’el and stars Shia LaBeouf and Denna Thomeon. You may have to watch this a few times to understand what all is going on, because I was certainly a bit confused the first time through as was Sigur Ros bassist Georg Holm, "At first I didn't know what to make of the video, because it is so full of ideas and confusion, but now I completely love it. It seems to have no beginning and no end, and just makes you think about what might and might not be going on. It's a puzzle and I think it's absolutely amazing."
[Watch] Zedd - "Spectrum" (Piano Version)
Remember the huge bass filled track called "Spectrum" from wunderkind producer Zedd last month? Turns out he's not just a talented producer he can also play the piano better than I had ever imagined. Check out his rendition of "Spectrum" on Piano up above. To compare it to the original which features Matthew Koma head over here.

[News] Animal Collective's Deakin Says 'Centipede Hz' Will Be Weirder Than Expected

When speaking to The Stool Pigeon recently, Animal Collective member John "Deakin" Dibb spoke about their upcoming ninth studio album Centipede Hz. He revealed that the album will be a lot weirder than anything the band has done before, and much harder to swallow. Here's what Dibb had to say:
I remember saying, “This is going to be harder for people to swallow.” There’s no doubt about it: people are going to react to this. It wasn’t being bummed about it or a critical comment of the music or anything — I’m really stoked and I think the record’s amazing, personally. But there was an instant melodic gratification to Merriweather and I think we intentionally made a record this time that is a lot more … um … [laughs] We took a left turn at weird town. For the most part, every song, in terms of the way the record is laid out and the choices we made sonically, is way more challenging. And that’s been verified by every person I’ve played it for so far. People have said they love the record. Friends of ours have said it took them two or three times to even understand it. Merriweather is not that. From the first note of Merriweather you’re like, “Oh my God, I just wanna dance” or “My heart’s exploding.” This is more like, “This is amazing but I’m confused and I don’t quite know what’s going on and I think I need to listen to it again and maybe I should turn it off."
If you've listened to the band's forthcoming 7" single "Honeycomb" and its b-side "Gotham," then it's clear that AnCo are departing from the melodic nature of Merriweather Post Pavilion. Centipede Hz is out on September 4th via Domino.
