[Watch] Death Grips - "Double Helix" (Official Video)

Whenever rap-punk outfit Death Grips release a music video, it never disappoints. The official video for their track "Double Helix" is no different, and is probably their most creative yet. Using the rearview camera of a Toyota Prius, the video sees frontman Stefan Burnett flailing and dancing frantically in his usual way. Definitely the best use of a Prius since it hit the market. [News] The Presets Announce New Album: 'Pacifica'

Australian electro duo The Presets have announced that they will release their third studio album Pacifica, the follow-up to 2008's Apocalypso, this September through Casablanca Records. The album was recorded and produced by the band in Los Angeles, and will see the duo "boldly venture into new, uncharted musical territories." They have also created a teaser clip featuring a snippet of the song "Youth in Trouble," which will be included on the forthcoming LP, that you can watch at the band's website.

The Presets will be going on tour in support of the forthcoming release, which will kick off in Vancouver on October 15th following the duo's appearance at San Francisco's Treasure Island Music Festival. Peep the tour dates after the jump.

[News] Metric and Stars Map Out Tour Together

Later this fall, Canadian indie contemporaries Metric and Stars will team up for a co-headlining tour across Canada. In support of Metric's recently released album Synthetica and Stars' forthcoming sixth LP The North, which is out on September 4th, the two bands will kick off their tour in Victoria, BC on November 9th. [Watch] Deadmau5 - "The Veldt" (Official Video)

Deadmau5's song "The Veldt" has a much more interesting back story than most of the songs you'll find out there, and very much not what you would expect from a house DJ. The song is inspired by Ray Bradbury's famous short story The Veldt, a tale about two kids named Peter and Wendy who become enamored with virtual reality and escaping the real world. Now, UK-based Qudos Animations has brought the tale of Peter and Wendy to life in the official video for "The Veldt," which features the vocals of Chris James. Animated in the style of the fantastic Xbox 360 arcade game LIMBO, the video sees the two kids exploring the African savannah in an excellent visual representation of the dark yet innocent undertones of the story. Watch it above.

Chan Marshall excited everyone last week with her return of Cat Power and her fourth album Sun which will be released on September 4th. A track called "Ruin" was released with that news and now today if you head over to NPR you can check out another fresh cut titled "Cherokee". Check it out here.

[News] Grimes Tops Hype Machine's 2012 Music Blog Zeitgeist

As you may have noticed last week we popped up our favourite bands of the year so far after BBC 6Music asked us to cast our opinions in the build up to their Music Blog Zeitgeist show on Sunday in partnership with Hype Machine. We picked El-P as our top artists of the year so far. We'll have to see how different our opinions will be at the end of the year but now that the show has aired we have the top talked about artists of the year so far. Topping the list was Grimes and below you can hear a chat she had with 6Music regarding blogs and how she uses them and avoids reading about herself on the net. Check it out and hit up the BBC site to see the top list. Any surprises?

[Watch] Alabama Shakes - "Be Mine" Live on Fallon

By this point we know that Alabama Shakes are an incredibly tight live band and can deliver day in day out.
