[Listen] Hot Chip - "Look At Where We Are" (Major Lazer Remix)
Last night Radio One debuted a brand new remix from Major Lazer of Hot Chip's track, "Look At Where We Are". As to be expected Major Lazer have given the track a kick up the backside and turned it into an energetic little number worthy of an early morning dance. Check it out above.
[Listen] The Gaslight Anthem - 'Handwritten' (Full Album Stream)
Yesterday we got to enjoy the new albums from Passion Pit and Purity Ring, and today we get to enjoy the latest studio offering from The Gaslight Anthem. Handwritten is set for release next week on July the 24th but preview the New Jersey bands new material an entire week before it's released.

[Listen] New Jamie xx Mix for 3RRR
Jamie xx is keeping himself busy at the moment and is currently down under in Australia performing some solo dates including one tonight in Melbourne and one later in the week on Thursday in Sydney. In between the hectic schedule though he's found time to make a brand new mix for the radio station 3RRR. If you head over here you can stream it in full. Hat tip to AO-AO for the heads up.
Yesterday we also got the news of a brand new album from The xx titled Coexist which is set for release on September the 10th. Check out the lead single "Angels" here.
[News] Biffy Clyro Confirmed For iTunes Festival
As we eagerly await new material from those Scottish riff monsters Biffy Clyro, news has broke that they are to perform at iTunes Festival in London later this year. The festival will see a month full of free music take place in the capital across the month of September. Biffy will headline at Camden's Roundhouse on September 22nd with support coming from Frightened Rabbit.
Speaking about the event Simon Neil says: "We are so fucking excited to play the iTunes festival again. We had a killer time in 2010 and can't wait to rock it even harder this year. Fuck One Direction!"
No doubt that the event will see some new tracks being played as we've seen previously at their Milton Keynes Bowl show with Foo Fighters last year, and their more recent festival appearances including Isle of Wight. A tease of new music can be seen above.

[Listen] No Doubt - "Settle Down"
After 11 years of nothing from one of my childhood favorites, No Doubt has finally come out of hibernation with their first single, "Settle Down". The single comes from their forthcoming album Push And Shove, which is slated for a September 25th release on Interscope. The album follows 2001's Rocksteady, which kid of displaced me as a fan because I wasn't ready to take the huge leap. I am happy to report, however, that I have found my way home into the loving arms of the California four-piece.
I have to say, I couldn't be more pleased with "Settle Down" (I mean I could if they totally went the way of Tragic Kingdom or Return Of Saturn, but we all have to let that go). They've still stuck with a good bit of the Rock Steady sound but it feels like they took some time to remember that they put out other records that weren't always so heavy on the pop and dancehall sound, which is most obvious in the chorus. At any rate, it's genuinely just a fun song to listen to and could not have come at a better time in the summer.

[News] Flying Lotus Collaborating with Thom Yorke on New LP
Flying Lotus and Radiohead's Thom Yorke have collaborated before, with the latter providing vocals for Lotus' track "…And The World Laughs With You" off of his 2010 LP Cosmogramma. The collaboration was a major highlight from that album, and that year, and now the two are once again teaming up. As reported by Rolling Stone, Yorke will feature on Flying Lotus' forthcoming album Until the Quiet Comes, which is set for release on this fall. When speaking with Rolling Stone, Lotus described his approach with this new album as more "grown-up", going further to say, "I feel like I had this maximalist mentality going into the last one, but with this one now I feel like I don't have a problem holding back on some moments so bigger moments can shine through."
Until the Quiet Comes is out on October 2nd via Warp, and above you can watch an interview Yorke did with Flying Lotus at Worldwide Awards last year.
[Listen] Carnivals - "Departners"
Last summer, UK musician Stewart Green, who goes under the moniker Carnivals, went on a voyage throughout the Indian Ocean, and he describes the profound experience as such: "Endless days … the limitless sky and the relentless ocean." The journey had more than an effect on Green himself, extending further into his music, and resulting in the Humility EP.
The experiences Green had overseas have brought a newfound flavour into the release, delivering an ambient, Indian-inspired sound to his already fantastic palette. The latest offering from the EP, which drops on August 7th, is "Departners". Over the course of its nearly four-minute span, the song delivers a sprawling wave of summer sounds, with distorted vocals and hazy, distant guitars amidst lulling bass swells and vibrant percussion.
