[Watch] The Gaslight Anthem - "Handwritten" (Official Video)
The Gaslight Anthem release their album Handwritten today and to celebrate the release why don't we treat our eyes to the official video for the LP's title track. The video looks on as a young song writer goes about creating a new track and the legacy it leaves behind once written. A thought provoking clip that you can check out at the top.
In case you missed it you can stream Handwritten in full over here.
[News] Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music Album Due Out in September

Kanye West albums are no strangers to delays, hell, both My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Watch the Throne were both delayed numerous times. It shouldn't come as a surprise, then, that the G.O.O.D. Music album Cruel Summer has been pushed back from its previous August 7th release to September 4th (via Def Jam). Mark your calendars, but be wary, chances are it could get delayed again, but at that point they would need to change the name of the album to Cruel Fall or even Cruel Winter.
Stream both of the Cruel Summer singles, "Mercy" and "New God Flow", below.
[Listen] 2 Chainz feat. Kanye West - "Birthday Song"

Thanks to Kanye West, former Playaz Circle member 2 Chainz has gone from underground ATL rapper to G.O.O.D. Music staple, and now the former is even guest spotting for the latter. 2 Chainz is set to drop his debut LP Based On A T.R.U. Story on August 14th, and "Birthday Song" is the first of three promotional singles for the album. With Ye dropping a verse, even providing production duties with help from Sonny Digital, this is a good sign of what is to come from 2 Chainz's debut release.
The next promotional singles will be released on July 31st and August 7th.
[Listen] SBTRKT - "Gloss"

After a short hiatus (it was May when he last graced us with a new track), SBTRKT is back with a brand new cut titled "Gloss". The three-minute track is very minimalist, but it works so well in this situation. Simple synth repetitions and subtle percussion make this perfectly fitting for those late nights. Stream it below (via SoundCloud).

[Listen] Flying Lotus feat. Earl Sweatshirt and Captain Murphy - "Between Friends"

Earl Sweatshirt has been on a terror since his return, featuring on Frank Ocean's Channel Orange highlight "Super Rich Kids" and other fellow Odd Future member Domo Genesis' No Idols powerhouse "Elimination Chamber". Earl has expanded outside of his OFWGKTA circle, though, diving into the genre-bending mind of Flying Lotus. Courtesy of Adult Swim's Singles Program, we not only get our first taste of FlyLo's upcoming LP Until The Quiet Comes, but the oh-so-perfect combination of his fantastic instrumentals and Earl's lyrical genius. Oh yeah, someone named Captain Murphy joins in too. Stream "Between Friends" below, and grab it for free at Adult Swim's website.
Flying Lotus' Until The Quiet Comes is out on October 2nd via Warp.
[Watch] The Raveonettes - "She Owns The Streets" (Official Video)
Camcorder footage follows a girl around the streets in The Raveonettes' new video for the single "She Owns The Streets", visuals that take the lyrics of the song very literally. She dances on the subway, she dances in the middle of the street, she dances in a basketball court. She pretty much owns the streets with her dancing. Check it out above.
The Raveonettes' sixth studio LP Observator is out on September 11th via Vice.
[Listen] The Strokes Perform an Alternate Take on "Someday" Live on WFMU

Back in 2000, before The Strokes had even released their breakthrough debut LP Is This It, they stopped by WFMU’s The Cherry Blossom Clinic with Terre T in December of that year to perform early cuts from the famed debut. Fake Walls points us in the direction of one of these early cuts, the alternate take on "Someday". This early rendition features slightly altered lyrics and a more distorted, less clean sound, but it's worth the listen. Stream it below.
The rest of The Strokes' set at WFMU includes "Alone Together", "NYC Cops", "Soma", "Barely Legal", "Modern Age", "Last Night", and "Take it or Leave it", all of which is available to stream at WFMU's archive.
