[Listen] Captain Murphy - "The Ritual" & "Mighty Morphin Foreskin"
Ever since Flying Lotus dropped his track "Between Friends", which featured Earl Sweatshirt and someone named Captain Murphy, everyone has been asking one question: Who is Captain Murphy? After featuring on that song, the anonymous emcee has since released two solo tracks, the first being "Mighty Morphin Foreskin" and the second being "The Ritual". People have speculated that it could be Tyler, The Creator, but the lyrical prowess displayed in these tracks is more than Tyler has ever been able to pull off. Whoever Captain Murphy, he's garenering a lot of attention from around the blogosphere. Stream both cuts above and below.
[Watch] Nick Waterhouse - "Some Place" (Yours Truly Session)
Nick Waterhouse's debut album Time's All Gone is easily one of the most underrated albums this year. The album is a refreshing and captivating R&B/soul-infused gem, and if you've yet to hear it you're doing yourself a disservice. The moment you have some free time, get your hands on this album.
Praise aside, Waterhouse recently stopped by Different Fur studios to perform his single "Some Place", where he also did an interview with Yours Truly. Check out the performance and interview above.
[Watch] Big K.R.I.T. feat. Ludacris - "What U Mean" (Official Video)
Decatur Dan is quickly becoming one of the most desirable music video directors in the world of hip hop, and Big K.R.I.T. has once again brought him on board for his song "What U Mean". The video for the song, which features Ludacris, captures some of that early aughts flavor, with a crisp black and white style making for a striking visual. With booty shakin', flashy cars, and shots of K.R.I.T. hitting the MPC, what more do you need? Watch the replay above.
"What U Mean" is one of many awesome tracks from K.R.I.T.'s major-label debut Live From The Underground, which is out now via Def Jam.

Animal Collective kicked off the inaugural episode of their weekly radio program last night, and they even gave us "Today's Supernatural", the first single from their forthcoming LP Centipede Hz. The single wasn't the only new song to come from last night's radio program, though, as Panda Bear snuck in two brand new instrumentals. Stream both "Soft Serve Rip Curl" and "Principe Real" below (via Collected Animals).
Head over to the band's official website to replay the entirety of last night's episode, including Panda Bear's full mix. After the jump, you can take a look at the tracklisting for Panda Bear's mix, which includes tracks from Duck Sauce, AraabMuzik, Freddie Gibbs, and Thomas Bangalter.

[Watch] Liars - "Brats" (Official Video)
What the fuck? Seriously... what the fuck? Liars have taken music videos to a new level of weird with this one. The visuals for "Brats" play out as if Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny were placed in the impossible-to-control world of QWOP, and then throw in some acid-induced distortion for good measure. Good thing the song itself is so awesome. Check it out above.
Liars' latest LP WIXIW is out now via Mute.
[Listen] David Byrne & St. Vincent - "Weekend In The Dust"
David Byrne and St. Vincent are offering up another track from their forthcoming collaborative LP Love This Giant, which is set to drop in early September. We previously heard album opener "Who", which the pair gave us last month, and now you can stream "Weekend In The Dust". If you head over to their official website, you can stream both songs in full, and if you pre-order the album you will receive a download of the latter.
A fan newsletter gave us some choice words from the pair, who said that "Weekend In The Dust" was one of ten songs from the 12-track effort that they wrote together. Here's what Annie Clark had to say: "David came up with some brass riffs and swells that sounded pretty funky. Annie then wrote a cool vocal melody with words over it. We both arranged her vocal and other elements of the track a bit further—still working with horn samples temporarily. Finally, we passed this one on to baritone sax monster Lenny Pickett, ex Tower Of Power and current Borneo Horns and SNL bandleader, for arranging."
Love This Giant is out on September 11th via 4AD/Todo Mundo.
