[Watch] Arctic Monkeys' Full Glastonbury 2013 Set

It's Saturday which can mean only one thing, well, going with the past two weeks trend... Another Arctic Monkeys post. Last night the Sheffield band performed their second ever headline show at the world famous Glastonbury Festival and boy did they deliver. Revisiting the Pyramid stage, following on from their 2007 set, they played a hit laden set featuring cuts from their back catalogue along with opening the set with their new single "Do I Wanna Know?", rocking the 180,000 strong festival to its core. They were even joined by Miles Kane for set closer "505" and you can re-live the entire show below. The band have also recently enrolled the help of Dead Sons' lead singer Tom Rowley, or as Alex refers to him; "the white ranger" on keys for the current tour.

The band's new album, AM, will be out on September 9th via Domino and to support that they've just announced a UK arena tour set for October, dates of which can be found over here.

[Watch] Smith Westerns Look Depressed in the Video for "Idol"

Smith Westerns new album Soft Will is pretty good, ten songs that perfectly capture a sense of youthful decadence. When it comes to parties, though, apparently Cullen Omori, Cameron Omori and Max Kakacek are too cool for everyone else. Or too depressed. In their video for "Idol," they sit around a table as a party rages around them. People are smoking weed, drinking beer and stealing cookies, but nothing seems to phase the indie rock trio. Check out the clip below.

[Listen] Franz Ferdinand Share Two New Songs, "Right Action" and "Love Illumination"

I'm so excited these guys are back. Franz Ferdinand recently announced that their fourth album, titled Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, would be released on August 27th, and now they've shared two studio quality tracks from the record. The first is the (sort of) titular song "Right Action," an upbeat rock number that fits right in with the band's past work. "Love Illumination" is the second offering. It drives forward with relentless tempo, gritty guitar riffs and the love-struck lyrics of Alex Kapranos. Stream both songs below.

[News] Porcelain Raft Announces Fall Tour, Watch Video for "Think of the Ocean"

Mauro Remiddi, aka Porcelain Raft, will hit the road this fall in support of his soon-to-be-released sophomore album Permanent Signal, due out on August 20th. Starting just two weeks after the LP hits stores, his tour will run for a month straight, hitting 21 cities across North America. Check out the full tour docket after the jump to see if Remiddi will be performing in your town.

Remiddi also shared the video for "Think of the Ocean" recently, the first song we've heard from Permanent Signal. It really showcases the musician's change in tone. Deepening into an ethereal well of depression, the song drones with echoing piano chords, despondent vocals and the emotional stirring of strings. Don't expect to feel particularly pleasant after listening to this one.

[Sasquatch! Interview] Odesza Discusses their Debut Album, Campground Games and More

Sure, we're a month removed from this year's memorable Sasquatch! Music Festival, but that doesn't mean what happened there is any less relevant. As the amount of free time I have available went up exponentially this week, I was finally able to finish editing the remainder of my Sasquatch! interviews. The first of those interviews was with Seattle-based duo Odesza, comprised of producers Catacombkid and BeachesBeaches. We've never covered them before here on SKOA, but it's never too late to get introduced to awesome new music.

After releasing their debut LP Summer's Gone last September, Odesza have been touring and feeling out the general reaction towards the project. I was very impressed, and I'm sure others were too. When I met up with them on the second day of the festival, they had just arrived. Nonetheless, they were eager to chat with bloggers and journalists. More than that, they were ready to perform in front of Sasquatch!'s dedicated music enthusiasts. Before hitting the stage, the laid-back duo and I sat down, along with my girlfriend Katherine, and chatted about their debut album, how Seattle and the Northwest have influenced their sound and the intricacies of camp games—specifically Laddergolf(ball) and the poorly named Cornhole. Stream the entire interview below.

[Listen] Lulu James - "Step By Step"

I was introduced to Lulu James back in October last year. I was immediately blown away by her soul filled vocals and her second single "Closer" was a banger. Putting her voice to a funky back drop, I challenge you to not dance along when you hit play. The songstress has now offered up her new track "Step By Step" for our enjoyment. I'm very much looking forward to more material from Lulu. If you missed her last track "Closer" check it out over here.

"Step By Step" will be out via RCA on the 1st of August.
