We know Trent Reznor can deliver when it comes to scoring films soundtracks as we found last year in the case of his Golden Globe nominated score for The Social Network. Yesterday, however we got confirmation that Mr Reznor is not only writing but performing, and recording the score to David Fincher’s film adaptation to Stieg Larsson’s novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
An interview with Trent streamed yesterday for the NY Times where he revealed that the music for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is being performed with cellos and other stringed instruments as oppose to the Social Network score he worked on with Atticus Ross in which he used electronic equipment predominantly. Look out for more news on this later in the year with the film being look likely to hit Cinemas in December. Antiquiet has an awesome in depth look at the interview if you want to immerse yoruself for a little while.
