New York noise pop outfit Crystal Stilts may not be the most well known band out there, but the music they produce is always satisfying and mesmerizing. Their song "Dark Eyes," off of last year's Radiant Door EP, is a highlight from the band's repertoire, with nostalgic organ synths wandering through a dreamscape of distant vocals and airy guitar riffs.
The video for the song is equally as enjoyable. Director Jacqueline Castel used a combination of HD, Super 8MM, and hand colored 16MM film to capture the band during a performance at the Knitting Factory on December 9th, 2011, and the result is a colorful, retro-infused visual experience.
