[Listen] Kimya Dawson - "Miami Advice" Feat. Aesop Rock and the Olympia Free Choir
It was just a couple of days ago that one of our favorite emcees, Aesop Rock, along with Rob Sonic and Kimya Dawson performing at the ZeroFriends LA closing party. The performance featured some new songs from Hail Mary Mallon (Aesop x Rob Sonic x DJ Big Wiz) and 2 songs from Aesop Rock featuring former Moldy Peaches singer/songwriter Kimya Dawson titled "Bats" and "Delicate Cycle". Kimya read about our post and responded back to us via Twitter letting us know that the 2 songs were set to appear on a collabortive album she did with Aesop. But that's not all, she also stated that Aesop will be appearing on 6 songs on her upcoming solo album dropping this Summer.
Today, we are proud to present you with the first taste from that Kimya’s upcoming full-length, Thunder Thighs. The track is titled "Miami Advice" which features Aesop Rock and the Olympia Free Choir, and damn! is it amazing. Thunder Thighs will be released in Summer/Fall 2011 on K. Kimya will also be performing at K’s showcase at SXSW in March. So if you are attending the event, we highly suggest you go check her out!
