[News] Bloc Party Announces First Album In Four Years

As their momentum has been building over the past couple of months, we finally have details on the highly anticipated follow up to Bloc Party's 2008 release Intimacy. The new album will be called Four and is slated for an August 21st release courtesy of French Kiss Records. The album was recorded and mixed in NYC and was produced by Alex Newport (The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In, Polysics).

The band created an album trailer which you can check out below. There are several pre-order options available, so make sure you have a look at that.

Bloc Party have tour dates lined up pre and post album release in the US and Europe. You can check out dates over on their website.

As we countdown to the release of UK singer Ed Sheeran's debut album, + , which hits in the US on June 12th, we have this intimate live performance of "You Need Me, I Don't Need You" at Hinge Studios in Chicago, IL for The Live Room on The Warner Sound. If you've never seen Sheeran live, this gives you a pretty good glimpse of what he's capable of.

[Watch] D-WHY x Grimes - "Young Mariah" (Unofficial Video)

Another new track from D-WHY has hit the web and this one uses Grimes' track, "Vowels = Space and Time" which is set to appear on his upcoming mixtape, Don’t Flatter Yourself. The track comes complete with an easy on the eye unofficial video featuring Kate Upton. The track is pretty fresh and the video is a welcome break from the menial office work on a Thursday. [Listen] Big Boi & Theophilus London feat. TRE LUCE - "She Said OK"

Big Boi recently took to Twitter to announce that his next album will be titled Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, and late last night he followed that up by dropping a brand new track featuring Theophilus London and TRE LUCE. The song, titled "She Said OK," is confirmed to be included on the forthcoming effort, but it's a good indicator of the direction Big Boi is going in. Check it out and download it below.

[Listen] Blood Diamonds feat. Grimes - "Phone Sex"

Vancouver producer and video game designer Mike Tucker is better known by his moniker Blood Diamonds, and the R&B-infused dance pop he creates is captivating in every sense of the word. His first single from his forthcoming debut LP What is titled "Phone Sex" and features another Vancouver talent, Grimes. The song sees her singing amidst a Caribbean-influenced dance soundscape that is hard not to repeated over and over. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that his instumentation is overall better and more suited to Grimes' vocals than her own instrumentals. Give it a listen after the jump.

The Phone Sex EP is out on June 24th.

[Watch] The Walkmen - "Heaven" (Official Video)

Just yesterday, The Walkmen dropped their latest studio album Heaven, and one day later they've celebrated the release with the official video for the title track. The video, directed by Alex Southam, features photos and archived videos of the band from various points throughout their lives and careers, befitting to the nostalgic feel of the song itself. [Watch] El-P - "The Full Retard" (Official Video)

El-P has had a rip-roaring few months. People went crazy for the Killer Mike album he produced, R.A.P. Music, and rightly so, it's great. He then released his latest solo effort, Cancer For Cure, and guess what? People love that too! Today he offers up the pretty comical visual for "The Full Retard" follows follows the crazy life of him and a puppet. I can't tell what animal the puppet is but damn, it likes to party. Answers on a postcard as to if it's a cat/rat/whatever.

[Watch] M83 - "Reunion" (Official Video)

Last Octobe, M83 put out the fantastic and imaginative video for "Midnight City," which saw a group of young kids with telekinetic abilities escaping from a futuristic facility. Now, the story continues in the official video for another Hurry Up, We're Dreaming highlight, "Reunion." Once again in the directing chair are Fleur & Manu, and the gifted children are shown being chased by mysterious government types throughout a shimmering city setting. It quickly brings to mind the movie Chronicle. But comparisons aside, check it out above.
