[Listen] Slow Magic - "On Yr Side"

The past day has seen talk of Lana Del Rey and A$AP Rocky, Alicia Keys and Little Dragon, but in the midst of that the always impressive Slow Magic put out one of the best songs I've heard in quite some time. Never ceasing to amaze me, the enigmatic producer's new single "On Yr Side" is simply breathtaking. Pounding percussion and throbbing synthesizers work in tandem to surround you with a myriad of emotions and reactions. In every way, this is good fucking music.

"On Yr Side" is the first single from a new full-length from Slow Magic, with a release date to be decided.

[Listen] Big Boi - "Gossip" Feat. Big K.R.I.T. x UGK

In November 50% of Outkast, the half not playing Jimmy Hendrix in a biopic, Big Boi, will release his sophomore solo record Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors, via Def Jam. Today Rap Radar has got a hold of the first single titled "Gossip" and it features Big K.R.I.T. along with UGK.  Rap Radar.

[Watch] The Gaslight Anthem - "45" Live on Letterman

Last night The Gaslight Anthem were the musical gust on David Letterman and made the journey to the Ed Sullivan Theater. They performed their single "45" which appears on their forthcoming studio release Handwritten. The man of the moment El-P performed "Works Every Time" on Conan and along with his backing band he had Zola Jesus aiding on the backing vocals. The performance was top class and you can enjoy it again and again at the top courtesy of The Audio Perv.

El-P's new album Cancer 4 Cure is out now and if you haven't got it yet go grab it. There's a reason we named El-P our top artist of 2012 so far.

[News] New Daft Punk Track "Renoma Street" Coming July 21st?

News has broke that new music from the legendary French Duo Daft Punk is to be released next month. French magazine Tsugi are to release a summer compilation next month. The above image shows the tracklisting and after a little research I found the below on the editor's twitter page:

Sachez le : ce hors série 4 de @tsugimag est en bonne voie, le cd compil' de l'été tue, il sera bien en kiosques le 21/7

Translated it says that the new "special issue of Tsugi Mag is on track, the CD compilation 'summer kills', it will be well in the kiosks 21/7" (Pardon me if this isn't 100% correct in terms of translation but the date's hard to mess up!)

The image above lists the tracklisting and it clearly states Daft Punk and the track "Renoma Street". Watch this space for more news. Over here there's a pretty decent thread on Neogaf regarding it with more confirmation from Patrice.

[Listen] Dark Time Sunshine - "Look At What The Cat Did" Feat. Busdriver

While everyone gets excited over the Pusha T & Kanye West new single artwork (really? artwork? whatever.), as well as the Lana Del Ray and Muse hype train today, allow me to bring you some quality hip hop from northwest duo, Dark Time Sunshine. For those unfamiliar with DTS, the duo consists of Old Dominon artist and one half of Grayskul,  Onry Ozzborn and producer Zavala and if you dont know about Onry or Grayskul I highly suggest you put google to good use today.

Dark Time Sunshine make their triumphant return with their upcoming release, ANX dropping July 24 and today you can get your first taste of the new album with with the bangin new tune "Look at What the Cat Did" featuring fellow Fake Four artist Busdriver. I highly recommend this track to anyone who is a fan of El-P, Aesop Rock, P.O.S., pretty much any indie hip hop artist from the Doomtree, Rhymesayers or Def Jux roster, this joint is right up your alley.
