[Listen] Childish Gambino feat. Prodigy - "Body"

Even though he dropped his brand new mixtape Royalty just four days ago, Childish Gambino is back with even more new music for you to immerse yourself in. "Body" is an unreleased track that didn't make the cut for the mixtape, but by no means does it mean it isn't impressive in its quality. The slow-moving cut features a sample from Portishead's "Elysium" as well as verses from Mobb Deep's Prodigy, making this a song worth listening to. I would go ahead and call this a bonus track for Royalty.

[News] James Murphy Considers Reuniting LCD Soundsystem to Record a Song

In a recent interview with The New York Times, James Murphy gave some interesting hints at his future and the future of his former band LCD Soundsystem. One of the more prominent bits of information was Murphy's idea of possibly reuniting LCD Soundsystem to record a song for an upcoming movie. He did not specify what the movie was called or who was directing it, but he did entice us with the statement that he was asked to record a cover of a song for the soundtrack and that all of the former members of the band were seemingly into the idea.

Aside from LCD Soundsystem, Murphy seems to be keeping himself fairly busy, taking part in little synth projects here and there, as well as recording with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Klaxons, and The Julie Ruin. And in non-musical related projects, Murphy will soon be opening his own store in the Williamsburg district of Brooklyn called House of Good. There, he will sell his own line of coffee as well as custom luggage designed by the man himself.

Another LCD Soundsystem reminder, the documentary Shut Up and Play the Hits, which chronicles the band's famed farewell concert at Madison Square Garden, will premiere on July 18th only in theaters across North America.

[Listen] Frank Ocean - "Sweet Life"

After openly admitting his homosexuality a few days ago, R&B crooner Frank Ocean seems to be in a good place. The Odd Future member once again took to his Tumblr to drop a brand new track from his forthcoming debut LP Channel Orange. The song, titled "Sweet Life," is a sexy, smooth cut that Ocean co-wrote with Pharrell Williams, and definitely a good one to start the weekend with. If you're looking to get down and dirty this weekend, this is the soundtrack. Listen to it below (via Complex).

Channel Orange is out on July 17th via Def Jam, and Frank Ocean will be performing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Monday July 9th.

[Watch] Alt-J - "Tessellate" (Official Video)

Alt-J's brilliant single "Tessellate" is set for release on July the 16th via Infectious Music but today we get to enjoy the cleverly made video. Taking inspiration from Raphael's 'The School of Athens', it sees the modern day streets take the shape of the painting. It's pretty cool to watch. Try and see how many triangles you can spot in the video. I cannot get enough of their album An Awesome Wave at the moment and advise you to go pick up a copy here.

[Listen] Germany Germany feat. Kotomi - "With You"

Fellow Vancouver Islander Germany Germany, the solo project of Drew Harris, is set to release his new album Blank Mind Empty Heart on July 16th, and he's let loose a brand new single from the forthcoming effort titled "With You." Although I've listened to Germany Germany for quite some time, he's never been featured on SKoA before, so before I discuss the song I'll give a bit of background.

Drew Harris, who currently resides in Victoria, BC, has been making music under the Germany Germany moniker since 2010, and has since released numerous albums, EPs, and singles. If I could compare Germany Germany to anyone it would be Teen Daze, as both artists beautifully master the art of electronic music production. With each release, Harris manages to incorporate a mood that lingers with the utmost subtlety. Whether it's a feeling of nostalgia, childhood, or happiness, his instrumentation, vocals, and pacing meld with that seamlessly to the point that it seems almost unintentional, a beautiful creation as if by accident.

Now, Germany Germany is back with a new album, and it's looking to be his best yet. "With You" sees the Victoria musician teaming up with female vocalist Kotomi, a partnership that adds a beautiful dichotomy to the song. The song also sees the musician pushing his boundaries, exploring new sounds and new techniques that show how gifted he is as an artist. Below, you can listen to both "With You," as well as Germany Germany and Kotomi's previous collaboration, a remake of "Real Hero" (College/Electric Youth's song from the Drive soundtrack).

Follow Germany Germany on Twitter, Facebook, and Bandcamp, where several of his releases are available for free download.

[News] Jack White Confirms Radiohead Recorded at Third Man

Last month, while performing onstage at Bonnaroo, Radiohead hinted at a possible collaboration with Jack White. Now, White has gone on record confirming that the band did indeed record at his Third Man studios, although he states that he was not involved. NME points out that while recently speaking to BBC 6 Music, White said, "I don’t know how much to tell about it except I didn't play with them or produce. But they came in and recorded at Third Man. I don't know what else to be said about that, so that’s all I can probably say."

So, for the time being, we'll just have to hold our breath over the thought of Jack White's blistering guitar solos infused into the weird world of Radiohead. For all we know, though, White could just be feeding us false information in the hopes of garnering more surprise when an eventual collaboration does surface. Time will tell.

[Watch] Bombay Bicycle Club - "Beg" (Official Video)

Bombay Bicycle Club's new video for "Beg" sees two guys dancing. That's it. But it's the fact that their actions over the course of their day is so relatable that makes this an irresistable video to watch. How often do you get out of bed, turn on some music, and start dancing, and that dancing continues on for the whole day? Wherever you go, the beat is there and your feet are moving, from the moment you wake up to the moment you get home at the end of the day.

"Beg" is the latest single off of Bombay Bicycle Club's third studio album A Different Kind of Fix, with the single seeing release on July 8th via Island Records.
