[Watch] Childish Gambino - "Fire Fly" (Official Video)
After all the hype surrounding his Royalty mixtape, some might have forgotten about Childish Gambino's fantastic debut studio album Camp, which was released last November. Gambino hasn't forgotten, though, and his new video for the song "Fire Fly" might not be what you expect. Imagine if the movie Another Earth was fused together with Breaking Bad, and you'd have the basic plot to this video down pat. It sees a young guy talented in the ways of chemistry cooking up a batch of a highly potent drug, attempting to sell it in order to escape to a blood-red colored planet called Fire Fly, which sits closely to Earth. Check it out above.
[Watch] Andrew Bird - "Give It Away" (Official Video)
What starts out as an idyllic, '50s-era birthday party quickly takes a turn in an odd direction in Andrew Bird's new video for "Give It Away". The Jessica Paliza-directed clip sees a piñata man, played by Moe Farrah, arriving at the birthday party, at which he starts sneezing up candy and making the kids laugh. It's when the bat comes out, though, that the video goes in a more, well, interesting and slightly morbid direction. What is a piñata man's life really worth? Watch it above.
Andrew Bird's latest LP Break It Yourself is out now via Bella Union/Mom+Pop.
[Listen] The One AM Radio - "Everything Falls Apart" (Slow Magic Remix)

From one ambient producer to another, the ever-enigmatic Slow Magic has shown his love for Hrishikesh Hirway's musical project The One AM Radio by remixing his song "Everything Falls Apart", a highlight from last year's Heaven Is Attached By A Slender Thread. The remix turns the song into a flowing, airy dreamscape, with birds chirping in the distance and wavy synths and complex percussion engrossing you in the song. Stream it below (via SoundCloud).
[Watch] Django Django - "Hail Bop" (Official Video)
Django Django offer up the official visual to accompany their single "Hail Bop" which appears on their self titled debut. The video is a brightly coloured explosion featuring the members working in some kind of office(?) and pushing a large glowing ball to the top of the large fictitious building. It's a tricky one to explain so it play above and look out for the single when it's released on August 13th.
Good news for fans in the US too, their album will be released digitally Stateside on the 14th of August and physically a month later on September 25th.
[Watch] Bat For Lashes - "Laura" (Official Video)
Natasha Khan has just announced a brand new Bat For Lashes album that's titled The Huanted Man. It comes packaged in this kind of NSFW looking cover and is set for release, on October 15th in the UK via Parlophone/EMI and in the US just a week later on the 23rd via Capitol.
Along with the announcement comes a video for the track "Laura" which features on the forthcoming LP. Check it out at the top and look out for more cuts hitting the net in the coming months.
[Listen] Black Moth Super Rainbow - "Windshield Smasher"

Finally after 2 long years we now have a set release date for Black Moth Super Rainbow's forthcoming LP Cobra Juicy. The album is set for release October 9th via the group own label, Rad Cult and to celebrate the announcement, Tobacco and crew have let loose the first single from the new album titled "Windshield Smasher". The song definitely sounds more like a Tobacco solo track due to it's dark soundscape than a BMSR song, but Tobaxx did announce that the new album would sound different from previous BMSR releases and more like a "demon skater".
Check out the new track below and then head over to the band's Kickstarter to pre-order the new LP. You can also read about the band's Kickstarter here. Enjoy creatures.
[Listen] Mariachi El Bronx - "Little Boxes" (Malvina Reynolds Cover)
Today on my lunch break I sat down, cracked open my lunch and hit play on Showtime's hit show Weeds. Into its eighth season, it's had some ups and downs over the years but I was glad this year when they brought back the old feel in the title sequence with the various cover versions of Malvina Reynolds' "Little Boxes. I was very happy and a little surprised today to hear Mariachi El Bronx rattling through my headphones whilst the credits rolled and I began to stuff my face. Check out their upbeat take on the classic track below.
Antiquiet also points out that the likes of Ben Folds, Mountain Goats and Dierks Bentley will also see out the season with some more covers.
