[Listen] Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar Feature on New Mann Track
In a move that came completely out of nowhere, Los Angeles rapper Mann has conscribed both Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar for his track "Bend Ya". With Ocean giving us a soulful hook, and Lamar delivering a minute long verse, how could you go wrong? But, let us not forget that it is Mann's song after all. Stream the track below.

[Listen] Four Tet - "Lion" & "Peace On Earth"
Esteemed London electronic producer Four Tet's new album Pink is officially out, and while it is labelled as a "new album", it's mostly comprised of material previously released solely on vinyl. Now, I say mostly because two of the songs on the album are actually brand new. "Lion" and "Peace On Earth" are extensive cuts, the former reaching 9 minutes while the latters spans 11-and-a-half, and the hefty length means a lot of build up. This build up is incredibly satisfying, though, with Four Tet's ambient soundscapes slowly cascading into an array of bleeps, bloops, and obscure synthesizers. Stream both tracks below.
Pink is out now digitally through Boomkat.
[Outside Lands 2012 x Interview] YACHT
Photos by Samuel Boardman Parker
Everyday is full of experiences, whether it is an uneventful one or an undoubtedly strange one. Whatever the case may be, it is an experience nonetheless. When it comes to music festivals, though, chances are those experiences are some of the most unique and odd you'll come to encounter. Ridiculous costumes, people from all over the world, the infusion of drug after drug after drug, and the inherent love and passion for music all combine in one location to make for unforgettable happenings. Outside Lands Festival proved to embrace that time honored tradition.
I found myself in one of these memorable encounters on the second day of Outside Lands, meeting up with Claire Evans and Jona Bechtolt of YACHT under the same trees that Electric Guest and I found ourselves in one day later. The quirky contingent that is The Western American Utopian Triangle proved to be an absolute joy to talk to, as photographer Samuel Boardman Parker and I dished out questions regarding YACHT's live performances, the danceability of their music, and what Claire's favorite dish at Olive Garden is. Stream the full interview below.

[Listen] Toro Y Moi - "Fetch" & "Taken"
Later this month, Toro Y Moi is releasing a new single under the moniker Les Sins, and today you can stream both the a-side and b-side. "Fetch" is a slick, glitchy number, with percussion playing a heavy part throughout, while "Taken" is a frantic, off-kilter cut. Both songs are definitely worth the replay. Stream them below.
The "Fetch" and "Taken" single will be released later this month on Jiaolong, the label run by Dan Snaith of Caribou fame.

[Listen] Bon Iver - "Beth/Rest" (Work Drugs Remix)
Work Drugs are one of those bands that wholly encapsulate the summer months, with every song they release evoking the fun beach vibes and warm sounds of the sunny season. It was a surprise, then, to see that the Philadelphia outfit had remixed Bon Iver's Peter Gabriel-esque album closer "Beth/Rest" for the band's currently ongoing remix competition. The bigger surprise, though, is how well Work Drugs have implemented their style into the song, speeding up the original prodceedings and adding layers of soft-yet-fun synths, energetic percussion and an overall sense of enjoyment and experimentation. This sense of fun works surprisingly well, turning "Beth/Rest" into an anthemic jam. Stream and download the remix below, and head over to Indaba Music to vote for Work Drugs' take on the Bon Iver, Bon Iver closer.
Another fun addition to Work Drugs' reinterpretation of the song, they apparently used "a 10 year old Packard Bell found along the roadside, Work Drugs crafted the "Beth / Rest" remix with an outdated version of Windows Sound Recorder."
[News] Azealia Banks Sets Firm Release Date for Debut LP
Azealia Banks had planned to release her debut LP Broke With Expensive Taste in September, but as her other releases have shown, the Harlem rapper is known for delays. Young Rapunzel announced on Twitter this past weekend that her debut full-length will be released on February 12th, 2013, adding: "I have ALOT of REALLY excitin ish happening in btwn! it will ALL make sense as these things start to unravel."
So there you have it. While it may be a bit disappointing, Banks surely has her reasons for the delay, and we're sure to see a follow-up to her 1991 EP and Fantasea mixtape in the coming months. To tide you over for the time being, why not replay her video for "Van Vogue"?
