[Watch] Banks - "Fall Over" (Official Video)

Los Angeles singer Banks' video for "Fall Over" is a black-and-white affair, staying true to the despondent, emotional tone of her second single. While the imagery is seemingly random—chain link fences, projections of explosions, and Banks half naked on a bed—it somehow works with her powerfully emotive vocals and dark electronic production. [Album Stream] Controller - 'Controller' EP

Controller is a stupid-good band out of Brooklyn, NYC. They just put out their very first EP and they're rocking a sweet show at The Studio at Webster Hall this weekend.

Full disclosure, you guys. Our friend Josh Shabtai is in this band. We've been friends for somewhere in the vicinity of 3 years now. For the last 8 months or so, he's been saying things like "Yo man! You should come to our show next week!" and "Yeah, we're working really hard recording some new stuff right now.". My only reaction was ever "Hah, cool man!". In all honesty, I didn't expect them to be any good. Not because Josh isn't a cool cat (he is), but because everyone has a band these days and I just didn't have any good gauge for his musical prowess. I dismissed him as just another bud with a band. Boy, was I wrong.

When the EP came out a few weeks ago, I almost peed myself. Controller possesses a truly unique sound. If you take The Gaslight Anthem, dip them in some pop-rock, and add a melodic vocal twang akin to U2, you kinda sorta get Controller's sound. This doesn't really do them justice, though. Their lyrics are easy to pick up and it's not hard to forget you're listening to the same 3 tracks on repeat. If you like honest rock 'n roll, you owe it to yourself to listen to the 3 track EP. It's free to stream and listen to, but if you like it, you should through a couple of bucks their way, as you should with any band you like. [Watch] Justin Timberlake - "Mirrors" (Official Video)

Justin Timberlake's emotional and lengthy single "Mirrors" gets an official video, and it fits perfectly alongside the soulful song. Beginning as a tale of two lovers, the clip flashes between their past and present, painting a picture of a beautiful and lasting relationship—on a heartwarming side note, the video is dedicated to Timberlake's grandparents, Sadie and William Bomar. This eventually shifts to shots of Justin singing and dancing in a hall of mirrors. Fitting. Check it out above.

In more Justin related news, The Hollywood Reporter reports that he confirmed the second half of The 20/20 Experience during his album release party at the El Rey Theatre in L.A. Monday night. This confirms what ?uestlove hinted at this past weekend. Looks like we can expect The 20/20 Experience Pt. 2 sometime soon.

[Watch] Django Django - "WOR" (Official Video)

Django Django take us to Allahabad, India in their video for "WOR", one of many awesome tracks from their Mercury-prize nominated self-titled debut. Taking place at a carnival, the video focuses on the daredevil actions of riders in a "Well of Death' sideshow. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, just press play and you'll figure it out quickly enough. Check out the visually impressive clip above.

[Album Stream] Woodkid - 'The Golden Age'

Woodkid is Yoann Lemoine. Chances are you've heard the name. From directing numerous stunning music videos, including Drake's "Take Care" and Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans", to having music featured in Django Unchained, his pedigree matches the music he creates—his self-directed videos for his well-known singles "Iron" and "I Love You" are breathtaking both musically and visually. Now enter The Golden Age, Woodkid's debut album. Spanning fourteen tracks, the record delves into grandiose orchestral instrumentation met with Lemoine's unique vocals. It's simply epic, a sprawling and majestic piece of work. Stream The Golden Age below to find out for yourself (via Noisey).

[Album Stream] The Strokes - 'Comedown Machine'

One week ahead of its official release, The Strokes fifth album Comedown Machine is streaming in full over at Pitchfork Advance. Unlike the storied troubles of recording Angles, the band's latest LP was a much smoother process. Hell, frontman Julian Casablancas joining the rest of the band in-studio was a big step forward.

It was only a matter of time before Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z collaborated. The pair team up to remix Lamar's "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe", and with the quality of Hova's bars on the track it was definitely worth the wait. [Listen] Vampire Weekend - "Diane Young" and "Step"

Vampire Weekend closed out SXSW by debuting a few new tracks, namely "Diane Young" and "Ya Hey". Now, the first of those gets the single treatment, along with a b-side titled "Step". The studio versions of both songs are pretty excellent, and any fans of the New York outfit will surely be pleased.

"Diane Young" is energetic, driving forward with frantic guitars and percussion, along with a bit of flair and fun from frontman Ezra Koenig and keyboardist Rostam Batmanglij. "Step" on the other hand is a slow, reflective affair, gliding along with heavenly instrumentation. Both are worth the listen. Check 'em out below.
