[Watch] Azealia Banks - "Liquorice" (Official Video)

If a modern Western starring Azealia Banks was ever something you've dreamed of, then today is your lucky day. Young Rapunzel's new video for her song "Liquorice" from the recently released 1991 EP sees her as the leading lady in a Western, riding horses, dancing with guns, wearing leather chaps, and seductively eating hot dogs and popsicles. The video was directed by Rankin, with all the clothing styled by Banks' fashion pal Nicola Formichetti. Watch it above.

[Watch] Passion Pit - "Take A Walk" (Video)

The video for Passion Pit's latest single, "Take A Walk" was unveiled earlier today and it is the first video in months that kept my eyes glued on it in a really enjoyable way. The video was directed by David Wilson, who was inspired by Osamu Tezkua's animated short, "Jumping", which to him seemed like a natural fit for a starting point because of the bouncy rhythm of the song.

I was only a little ways into the video and I found myself thinking, "I would DIE to see the making of this video beacause I would have no idea where to start doing something like this". For those of you who are thinking the same, The Creators Project will be premiering the making-of video for "Take A Walk" in the next week-ish, so be on the lookout for that.

And the countdown to Gossamer's release on July 24th continues.

[Watch & Download] Harlan - "Dirty Laundry (Don Henley cover)"

I really should apologize for sitting on this cover and not sharing it for a weekish but I really wanted to be sure that I would want my stamp of approval on it since I have mad love for Don Henley. I guess since this video has been sitting as a tab in my browser for over a week and I've wanted to put it on every other day that maybe that means I like it? Anyway, LA's Harlan totally nails his cover of "Dirty Laundry" with the help of background vocals from Jen Hirsh and tapping Doktor to produce the track. Another fun little fact is that the video was shot and edited entirely on an iPhone. We're certainly in the age where that's going to start happening more often, aren't we?

if you find yourself as into this cover as I am you can grab the track for the actual retail price of $FREE.99 here.

You can also catch Harlan on tour with Mayer Hawthorne as he makes his way through California.

On tour w/ Mayer Hawthorne:
June 15 – Los Angeles, CA @ The Wiltern
June 16 – San Francisco, CA @ The Fillmore
June 17 – Napa, CA @ Uptown Theatre
June 19 – Sacramento, CA @ Ace of Spades

[Listen] Blackbird Blackbird - "Happy With You"

Not sure how I fell off the Blackbird Blackbird bandwagon for awhile but with this new song I am totally back in the game. From his upcoming Boracay Planet EP we have "Happy With You", which sounds like something that belongs on an indie movie soundtrack of some sort. The whirring strings and the gentle plucking of the acoustic guitar adds a certain warmth and inner glow to the song that I had yet to experience from a BB track, so props for including those layers.

Boracay Planet is due for a physical release on CD and vinyl sometime this year. You can expect to be receiving updates from us when a release date is confirmed.

[Watch] Two Inch Punch - "Moonstruck" (Video)

When I first moved to NYC a friend of mine took me to Korova Milk Bar back when it was over on Avenue A just before it closed. One of my first memories of the place was watching Barbarella on one of the TVs behind the bar and being so confused because I had never heard of the movie in my life. Thanks to Two Inch Punch's latest video for his track, "Moonstruck" from his upcoming EP I had the chance to take a stroll down memory lane from his use of cropped up clips from the movie. Just like with "Paint It Red", this new track is a more than appropriate soundtrack for floating in space. If you've been into these songs make sure you pick up his upcoming EP Saturn: The Slow Jams on June 25th via PMR Records. If you're in the London area you can catch him at Notting Hill Arts Club on June 22nd for his EP Launch party where you can catch sets from Velour and Brey in addition to a set from Two Inch Punch himself.

[News] Deltron 3030's New Album Coming In September

The project of Dan The Automator, Kid Koala and Del The Funky Homosapien better known as Deltron 3030 have been readying the release of a sophomore album since 2006. Their only release to date was back in the millennium some 12 years ago. Yesterday some news from the camp hit the net though via CBC Music Dan the Automator let loose the news the album is finished and will mostly likely be released in September: "The record’s done with one or two maybe small touch ups…What I’m about [is] not changing any songs more like little, in between segue things." So prepare for some new material that could melt our minds. CoS also points towards a video of some material they debuted in Toronto over the past weekend tentatively titled "I Have Seen".
