[Watch] Dillon Francis - "Bruk Bruk (I Need Yo Lovin')" (Lyric Video)
Oh man, the lyrics to Dillon Francis' latest single, "Bruk Bruk (I Need Yo Lovin')" were so complex that I was hoping he'd post them on the internetz and that he has in another hilarious lyric video (below). Just like his "I Can't Take It" lyric video we have more googly-eyed creatures singing to us, although this time it's more fire-related things and less junk food to play into his forthcoming EP, This Mixtape Is Fire, which drops on August 14th. There's many a collabo on this fiery mixtape, including (but not limited to): Calvin Harris, Chromeo, and Skrillex.
If pre-ordering is the name of your game, you can do so over on iTunes.
(btw it's the internet and sometimes you can't detect sarcasm so I would like to take this moment to make sure you all know I was joking about not knowing all of the lyrics to this)
Speaking of "I Can't Take It", Francis also recently unveiled the length docu-style video the song which he calls "Exit Through The Donut Hole" which is as delightfully entertaining and trollsome as it is weird, which is very on-brand for him. Definitely worth checking out if you have 15 minutes to spare for the lulz.
My favorite follow on Snapchat is also hitting the road with Zedd, Madeon and the gang on Zedd's upcoming True Colors Tour so be sure to grab tickets while you can for that.
THIS MIXTAPE IS FIRE TRACKLIST:
- Dillon Francis – “Bruk Bruk (I Need Your Lovin)”
- Dillon Francis and Calvin Harris – “What's Your Name”
- Dillon Francis and Skrillex – “Bun Up the Dance”
- Dillon Francis and Bro Safari – “Pull It”
- Dillon Francis feat. James Hersey – “Coming Over”
- Dillon Francis feat Chromeo – “Lies”
- Dillon Francis – “I Can't Take It (Party Favor Remix)”
[Watch] Nodaway - "Hairspray" (Official Video)
It's Friday which means it's time to put on some sparkly indie-pop jams and get to makin' out, fam!!! To help get the makeout party started, Nashville's Nodaway have unveiled their funtastic video for their latest single, "Hairspray", which comes from their recently released and oh so cleverly titled EP, 500 Days of Whatever. Nodaway is the brainchild of fellow Belmont University alumni Chris Jobe, who is blessed with the bragging rights for their soothing croonerific vocals, lyrics, and catchy electro-laced indie pop rhythms.
If you're into try before you buy, you can have a listen to their EP over on Spotify, but really just go grab it off Noise Trade because it's great and that's the right thing to do.
Happy future Friday makeouts!
[Listen] HSY - "Scratch"
You may remember last year during CMJ when the planets aligned and we had the honor of catching Toronto band HSY right before Weaves at Shea Stadium. We've been feeling their EP and have played "Waffles" a couple of times on #skoaradio but have been eagerly waiting for new music. We are happy to report that the wait is nearly over as Stereogum reported yesterday that the band will be releasing a full-length, Bask, on September 11th courtesy of Buzz Records. They also revealed a taste of what's to come from the album in the form of "Scratch", which steadily pummels your eardrums with its fuzz filled melodies leaving you with the urge to slam down a shot of whiskey and thrash around as soon as physically possible.
Bask drops September 11th via Buzz Records.
[Listen] Happy Diving - "So Bunted" x "My Zone"
Last week our new favorite grit rockers Happy Diving released their latest pair of songs in the form of a 7" titled So Bunted on Topshelf Records. The EP follows their debut full-length Big World which dropped last year (and we now have on rotation). Topshelf was kind enough to let you try before you buy the 7" via the mini playlist below. Once you've had your taste, you can order one of the very limited (1000 pieces) pressing. You have the following options for vinyl colors, folks:
- 100: Clear with Red Splatter
- 200: Clear
- 700: Solid Red
Personally, this feels very clear with red splatter to us, so hopefully they haven't run out of that option yet!
The band is currently touring the California coast before performing at the Resurrect Cali Fest in September. If you are the left coast please go see them on my behalf.
For now, enjoy "So Bunted" and "My Zone" below.

[Listen] Morly - "And Sooner Than We Know It..."
If you are on the hunt for tons of texture with seemingly minimal effort, Minnesota producer/singer-songwriter Morly is just what you need. I love how every element of her latest song, "And Sooner Than We Know It..." feels intentional all the way down to the way she leverages her own vocals as another thin layer of ice to what was already an incredibly chill track.
"And Sooner Than We Know It..." comes from her forthcoming debut EP, In Defense Of My Muse, which drops on August 14th courtesy of CASCINE.
Should you find yourself thirsty for, uh.....more....Morly you should definitely have a listen to her previously released tracks "Malestrom" (from Ryan Hemsworth's Secret Songs compilation) and "Seraphase" (which is on the EP as well) to hold you over until her EP drops.
Sydney Rockers Little May Announce World Tour
Sydney trio Little May have revealed that they will be hitting the road starting in September on a world tour in support of their upcoming debut album, For The Company, which drops on October 9th courtesy of Dew Process and Capitol Records. Tickets for their US dates are on sale now which you can snag over on their website.
If you haven't heard their debut single, "Home" yet you need to get on that ASAP. This is a great first taste of what's to come. The band was fortunate enough to have Aaron Brooking Dessner from The National produce the record and from the sounds of it he really made sure they stepped out with their best foot forward.

[Watch] Jacuzzi Boys - "Happy Damage"
Good news, everyone! Miami rock trio Jacuzzi Boys have announced that come this fall we will have more music from the band in the form of a new EP titled Happy Damage, which will come out on their newly formed label Mag Mag, which will be a home for future self releases and special projects from friends and collaborators. To celebrate, the band released this video of the title track from the EP, which features live footage of the band from their shows.
If that tickled your fancy you're in luck because the band is offering "Happy Damage" for the actual retail price of $FREE.99 over on Soundcloud, so snatch that up ASAP.
Also, if you have a moment, head over to their newly designed website for more info (which btw is pretty GIFtastic I must say).
