[News] Jack White Producing Live Jerry Lee Lewis Album at Third Man Records

Yesterday Jack White and his straight talking Third Man Records have announced yet another surprise for Record Store Day (April 16): That crazy piano playing rocker that could be argued to have started it all, Jerry Lee Lewis is set to perform at Jack's very own Third Man Records or as Jack commonly refers to it, his house.

The performance in Nashville will be recorded straight to tape from the stage and then eloquently produced by White before being released on TMR. Now Jerry Lee Lewis will own that stage but to add to the excitement he's bringing along a pretty damn solid backing band comprised of Steve Cropper (Booker T & The MGs), Jim Keltner, who has played drums for Neil Young, Bob Dylan, John Lennon and finishing up the rhythm section will be the ever familiar Greenhornes/Dead Weather/Raconteurs bassist Jack Lawrence.

The TMR recorded Live Lp will be sold online at the Third Man Records store asap following being pressed. I wonder if Jack has any more surprises up his sleeve for us? In the mean time check out Jerry Lee Lewis performing "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goign On" at the top back from 1957!
