This whole project sounds pretty darn cool: Art Takes Times Square. Yesterday the brand new video for Twin Shadow's "Five Seconds" track, the lead single from his sophomore album Confess, was premiered on a large LED Billboard in Times Square. Pretty cool, huh? The video was directed by Keith Musil and co-written by George Lewis Jr. and it features some masked mad-men and some cool motorcycle stunts. [Listen] Twin Shadow - "Five Seconds"

Twin Shadow's 2010 debut Forget was easily one of the most memorable albums that year, with George Lewis Jr. carving out such a unique identity with his new wave grooves. Now, the New York musician has announced his follow up to Forget, titled Confess, which is set for release on July 10th via 4AD. Along with the announcement is a brand new song titled "Five Seconds," which shows off how Twin Shadow has developed in the two years since his debut. Lewis' newest outing is an uptempo jam that sees him embracing the '80s and putting his own twist on it, with flanging guitars abound and wistful, wailing vocals. The song, which you can stream and download below, shows gives a great deal of promise for Twin Shadow's forthcoming sophomore LP.

As well, after the jump, you can take a look at the tracklisting for the forthcoming LP.

02 “You Call Me On”

[Watch] Twin Shadow - "Here Comes The Flood" (Peter Gabriel Cover)

For this cover, Twin Shadow go way back to 1977 to strip down a Peter Gabriel track that first appeared on his self-titled debut. Taking the classic track George Lewis Jr. makes the unusual cover his own and evidently is enjoying playing the track from the footage in the video. To watch it though you'll have to jump on over to Youtube as it's blocked from being embedded. Props to BPM for the heads up on this.
