[Watch] Björk - "Thunderbolt" x "Cosmogony" Live on Jools Holland

On Tuesday Evening the UK was treated to a performance of Bjork brought along to Later... with Jools Holland and when the full show aired on Friday I was equally as impressed with the two other performances she did. With the help of the choir and multi instrumentalists she bashed out great renditions of "Thunderbolt" and "Cosmogony". If you're not in the UK or you missed the performances don't worry, you can click play above and after the jump to re-live the Friday madness.

[Watch] Björk - "Crystalline" Live on Jools Holland

Last night marked the end of the current series of Later... with Jools Holland but don't get too down in the dumps just yet for Mr. Holland brought along a barrage of talent for us to enjoy. First up let's take a look at Björk who brought along a self playing organ of sorts and a children's choir, all of whom danced like champs once the d'n'b section of "Crystalline" got into full swing. Björk's performance was solid and from the reactions I saw on Twitter, people either love her or hate her. Give the performance a watch at the top and see what you think.

Check back soon for more performances from the night including Liam Gallagher, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Spector.

[Watch] Björk - "Thunderbolt" (Live Video)

A new video for Björk has shown up online but this one's legit and it features some cool ass footage from her residency at the Manchester International Festival. Weird that we've had two MIF related posts today with the 11 track preview from Damon Albarn and his Dr. Dee Opera. Cool though hey?

Bjork says you should listen/watch the video with the use of "headphones or proper speakers when you listen". She also says please, so she's polite about it. Take her advice and then hit play on the video above.

Biophilia is out now via Nonesuch.

[Watch] Björk - "Moon" (Video)

Peep the second video for the single "Moon" from Björk's upcoming app based album Biophilia which is now set to release on October 10th/11th. Bjork recently sent out an email to her fans explaining the delayed release in the most lovable quirky way that Bjork could pull off. Check out the full statement after the jump.

"dear folks

i would like to explain why my album is coming out later than was first intended

after humongous and fun adventurous work with the app builders we handed in the music for the app box last may i felt sonically it fitted that underworld of apps and virtual reality like a glove , kinda acoustic and clean with a slick dark sub but somehow the cd needed more blood and muscles , oxygen and stuff

i felt the album had different kinda growth potential than the app box and it is important to follow those hunches even though they are slippery and you don't know sometimes where they are taking you

i played biophilia for few weeks in manchester and some of the songs grew while playing them live and i decided to add some of this into the album , i ended up even using a live recording of one of the songs on the album . take my hunch the whole distance but in order to do that i had to put the album back a bit

my friend , the incredibly talented music maker leila arab came to iceland with no notice and added some sonic sculpting , especially to the bottom end and the great talented mastering engineer mandy parnell came over as well and helped me give the whole thing more warmth and flesh somehow

i am really happy i did this , seems like biophilia the album has a body

leila also introduced me to "current value" who now has put a new beat into one of the songs

hope you like it

warmth , björk"
